Several months ago when DriveCam was first released I installed a 2TB USB-C drive in the center console. DriveCam initially worked great, recording all drives. Recently I noticed that it’s no longer recording usual drives - and hasn’t been for the last month or two. The only saved recording is from when I laid on the horn to avoid getting hit. I’ve tried removing and reconnecting the USB driver several times. The settings indicate it is setup to record drives. MotionCam works perfectly. Not sure what else to do.

Did you connect drive to computer to check? As far as i know, they don’t show on the screen unless you recorded via record button on screen.

Did you take it in for service in the last couple months? About a week after a service appointment I noticed the SC had turned off the camera in my truck.

I have exactly the same issue. After installing the 2 TB USB-C drive and it telling me that it is installed, it doesn't record while driving. I now use my trusty Garmin Drive Cam 76 on my windshield that records everything in front and as an additional benefit, it tells me all about traffic conditions that this R1T doesn't. I especially like it letting me know the exact speed limits for the roads I travel so I can set the CC accurately, another thing that my Rivian does not...

This is my understanding too. They don't show inside the truck but you can view on your computer. I think the manual even says this.

Did you do a hard reboot of the Rivian? (Left steering wheel buttong + hazard for 15 seconds)

My Motion cam stopped recording motion for a few days so I did a hard reboot and motion recording came back.

You cannot view the Drive Cam video in the vehicle. You must attach the storage to a PC or other computer.

Yes I did, but I checked the settings after picking it up and disconnected/reconnected the drive, and disabled/re-enabled DriveCam and that did not resolve it.

Thanks, that is the MO of the Garmin too. But, it does give me much more driving information than Rivian does. It isn't even close.
