This looks nice. But why would they scratch out their Trip meter and elevation? What privacy information could anyone possibly steal with that? LOL. ??

To protect the identity of the person showing off the beta. With that info, Rivian could easily identify the exact vehicle these screenshots were from.

I'll use the drive modes, but a bunch of the other stuff won't really apply to me. That said, I am digging these features and I think they'll all be a great addition. The only thing I'd love to see Rivian add to the drive modes is the ability to adjust anti-sway properties. Since that's the one thing they nerfed in the last release and it makes a huge difference in feel to those of us who actually pay attention to such things.

This is all great news! I am unclear if the towing profiles will include the ability to plug in an accessory to a bike rack without losing all the good driving features.

Hmmm, pretty minor update. I mean it has a lot of small things, UI tunes, etc. Thought we would get some good functionality this Summer like text message integration, +music options, etc. Will be interesting to check out Halloween mode - wondering why we still don't color ambient light configs if turns out color is possible again for all of us.

My delivery rep indicated that streaming will be coming soon; like decemberish.

• Reduced active grille shutter noise from the front of the vehicle when the vehicle wakes from sleep.

I just got my R1S. I noticed that with proximity lock/unlock off at my home, when i go into the garage the car seems to sense that i'm there anyway, and then i hear this weird creaking noise from the front grill (like plastic bending or something). Can anyone tell me if this is the 'active grill shutter' noise mentioned here? (also what is an active grill shutter?)

PaaK works flawlessly for me (Pixel 7 Pro). Could it be a phone issue?

I'm also finding that the charger works flawlessly with my pixel 7 Pro.

sorry, I don't mean trailer sway. I mean the "swaybars" that Rivian uses, which is a hydraulic system. They softened these "swaybars" in the last update and it causes the truck to wallow left and right way too much now, it also has numbed steering feel and reduced overall steering responsiveness.

Thanks -- that certainly could be it. I don't mean to derail this thread. I guess i just don't understand why they would be opening when i'm just near the car and not unlocking it or getting in.

Yes, this is likely what you are hearing. It’s to allow cooling of the battery when needed but remains closed when the battery is cold and needs to be heated or kept warm. Many EV’s don’t have this making heating the battery in winter less efficient. I’m not sure if it controls the amount of airflow or if it’s just open/closed. Also not sure why it needs to activate every time the phone is near even though PAAK may be off at home. I’ve come to think of it as the truck saying hello when we pass by.

Hope this fixes my app. It's been broken and useless since the last update. Not jsit location. Reads all. Kinds of wrong info and constantly says my vehicle is offline when it isn't.
