Yeah, my limited understanding is that by going up to 9” from 8.5 that pushes the edge out 12.7 mm, since we want about 5.7” backspacing, this means the offset needs to be 5.7” - 4.5” (1.2 X 25.4mm), which amounts to 30mm offset.
sounds like running oversized tires means you have to pay close attention to rim dimensions.
8.5” wide rims are pretty unusual. I’m guessing there is an important reason why Rivian chose that size, so best to get 20 X 8.5” if you can…
