I've had the 2363 RAM wheels on and off my T for 15k+ miles and its a great option for a cost effective wheel the run AT's and matched to the 21" or 22" OD. I may even do a second set with All-Season 20" tires for max range since the 21's are $$$ to replace.
I hate to admit it, but some asshole (Canadian, no less!) got in my head with the load rating on these wheels. I've been down a rabbit badger hole since then trying to determine the load rating. I've seen these type of wheels sold with my EXACT tires, 115 load index, which tells me they have at least that load rating. Since you probably have more experience with them than anyone, what are your thoughts on folks running it?

I've also found this listing rear GAWR of that series Ram at 3900lbs but an HD version runs 6000lbs. If that HD had these wheels, I'm pretty confident they can take the Rivian weight.

Reading those specs - that Tradesman is likely a 2500 in sheep’s clothing (look at the payload) - if you came across one bet it had 8 bolt hubs.

…I’m still just pissed those beautiful steel wheels had such shit load rating…

According to Tire Rack search results for 2012 1500 HD, it's the same pattern ??‍♂

Sooo this is … well huh. The wheel modern spare is providing with their full-size spare for the Rivian. Also also has an 800 kg load capacity!! They must source the same wheel as Road Ready.

First of all they screwed up my name … but - I’m guessing they are using the same wheel.

Also for anyone wondering why it is such a pain to find aftermarket wheels, here's a list of all the models that use the bolt pattern. Seems to be falling out of fashion IMO and nearly impossible to find with our offset

Such an odd list of vehicles. Really makes you wonder what Rivian was thinking using it, especially when a vehicle this heavy and powerful really ought to have used 6-lug minimum.

I actually would disagree. But its just personal opinion..

I think its a matter of control. We have heard before how RJ/Rivian wants control of the apps on the infotainment (not being able to install AA/CP, onX, Sirius/XM, Google maps, etc). I have heard this about other items on the Rivian thru some friends that work at Normal. I mean, I cant fault him for it, it is his baby afterall.

Why would the rims be any different? Due to the odd offset, even the Ram wheels that have the same bolt pattern dont always work, and have a slightly different center bore. And now we are finding that even the ones that might work, might not be strong enough, and have a history of cracking.

I personally have only seen 1 aftermarket wheel I like. All the others are either copies of something else, or are just plain ugly.

Cross-post from the other thread concerning 2363 load rating.

I picked up my latest batch of 2363 wheels with Pirelli AS+3 275/60R20, a 115 load index, and talked to their tire/wheel guy who worked at Discount Tire for 8 years before joining his friend in the powdercoating business. The dude is a walking encyclopedia of wheels and tires, so I had to ask about this topic. Tldr; nothing to worry about.

I expressed concern about the Ram 1500 rear GAWR being less than R1T, and the wheels taking more pressure. He immediately said "Oh those wheels? 2363s can take over 3600lbs per wheel. They way overspec wheels for the tires you put on them. We used to put 125 load index tires on the Rams with these. I'd be more concerned about what tires you put on there, these wheels are fine." He rambled a bit about my Wildpeaks and spat out numbers on them, he's a big fan of them from his experience. He pointed to the thick spokes and talked about wheel construction,

Granted it's all hearsay, my concerns are alleviated.

I did a similar search and I think the bigger issue with this or any other rim for that matter is rim fatigue from age. I am going to be more cognizant when I do swaps or rotations to look for cracks as the 2363 are cast (at least I think), a little crack could become a big problem really quickly.

When I purchased my rim set, the seller said it was from a new vehicle as they had swapped out with a new wheel and tire. Considering 2018 is last year they were on a Ram (I think), the "newest" rims would still be 5 years old and most are probably a lot older.
