I am planning on some Christmas lights plugged into the center console 110V outlet. I’ll try some zip ties into the luggage rack anchors (I don’t have the luggage racks). Will post the results here if it looks good.
My wife also has a Rudolph nose and antlers for a car which I borrowe, but I didn’t like the wind noise from the antlers.

This took me all of 30 min. I used the center console power outlet, wrapped 1.5 times around the coat hanger on the back of the passenger seat, then out the rear passenger window. I left enough slack on both sides of the window for the door to open and close, before zip-tying to the frontmost passenger luggage rack cleat. I left a little slack for the lights to dangle just a bit so the strand can be seen from the front, and used electrical tape in 3 spots to secure it to the black part of the roof. Then on around the drivers side, around the back of the antenna as taught as I could make it, and back to the final two cleats on the passenger side. I just barely had enough length to zip tie the female end to the first cleat.

I used standard 14” nylon zip ties and a 20’ strand seemed to be the perfect length for the job. At first I wanted to zigzag across the roof but I don’t think that would be very visible most of the time, at least from outside the car. If I did this again, I would probably use a red or multicolored strand for more pop!

I’d be curious to see if anyone can figure out a way to safely secure lights to the hood without restricting the hood opening or the windshield wipers.

Costco sells the Phillips LED Micro Lights (6 sets in a box for ~$13). They use AA's in a waterproof case. They support 8 modes (I chose solid color mode) and the timer feature lets you turn them on at dusk one day and have them cycle 6 hours on and 18 hours off thereafter. I used a zip-tie to strap the battery pack to the inside of one of the rack uprights, which makes it nearly invisible.

If you have roof rack cross-bars installed, you can easily wrap one set around each bar and voila:

Where do you find a 110v outlet in the center console?

Do you need to go through the window? What about just going through the door jamb?

I really like the idea of putting lights on cars. But you should be wary of putting blue lights on your roof. It's a protected color and some police may not like to see it. I don't think there is an issue with red, yellow, orange or green.

Christmas decor…. Yup, I’m a lucky one with a 12vdc plug in the frunk to light up my Christmas wreath….. puts me in the holiday spirit.

Great look. Where do you run the wire from the frunk 12v outlet? Good job since you cant see it.
