Thank you this is great!
And it doesn't take that long to print on Klipper based printers, only about 3 hours for mid section.

Is super glue going to be ok in the heat?
Superglue works really well with 3D prints. Epoxy works great too, but messy to work with and needs lots of clamping time.

This is so nice!! Thanks for creating this and sharing.

I have not ventured in to the world of 3D printing, what does a setup cost to be able to do this like what you showed in the 1st post.

I know initially price may be high but I'm sure there are many more things that could be printed just not sure about what the hobby will cost. :CWL:
There are a lot of cheap printers, but you need to tinker a lot and be ready to spend time on forums reading through troubleshooting issues. If you want an out of the box experience, I'd recommend the Prusa Mini. It works great from the first power-up and has great support and software. I printed this drawer on a Prusa Mini I've been using for 3 years now with no issues.

Looks like a great design, thanks for sharing the STLs! I'm definitely going to give it a print (I need to get some PETG though, I use PLA for most things)

I've looked at this in the past, and it depends. Some varieties are good to 250F, which is sufficient for the inside of the vehicle. Others are good only to about 170F, which may be fine in a cooler climate but, I wouldn't chance it.

Thanks, I think I will give super glue a try, I rarely see my cabin gets above 120 deg F in summer.

You would need to do some homework on that, and everyone will have their own opinion on what's best out there.
Personally I don't get the obsession with Prusa brand, to me they are outdated and overpriced for what they are.
I got Qidi x-smart3, and its fine for me. But knowing how much I would get into it, I would have picked Bambu Labs X1 Carbon from the get go.

The Prusa Slicer software is the best I've used. I have another printer that was decent when I got it, but since then the slicer software hasn't been updated and other slicers don't support it. Prusa has regular firmware and slicer software updates.

My next printer will be the Creality K1 Max.

I redesigned the front to be able to print the "handle" separately in a different color. Currently printing it in Compas Yellow, like in the render.

I've work in brand marketing/advertising for 30+ yrs. Rivian's yellow is an "accent color" and should be used sparingly. Plus, if this is meant to store valuables, it doesn't make sense to call attention to it. Would be like a bright flashing neon sign over a bank vault that says "try me".

My 2 cents.

I have been told by a Rivian employee that the truck’s computer manage my (system) detects the camp speaker by a current draw /voltage drop across the pins.
The reverse engineering of the wiring would be awesome... I'd love to park the camp speaker on my desk and have the ability to charge it. IMO that would be the holy grail of this build... getting storage in the truck and being able to re-charge the speaker outside the truck. A 3d printed companion charging dock for the speaker (#TWRAPS. ????)

The camp speaker can be charged via USB C

The camp speaker can be charged outside the dock via the USB-C connector on the back.

Some filler, sanding, primer, and paint.
