R1-Refresh desire list

- 800V or more accurately 900V (450x2 pack architecture)
- NACS native charge port on in the same location
- Quad-Enduro drivetrain
- Refreshed Power Tonneau
- Heat Pump
- 165kWh R1T pack (there's room for 11 total 15kW modules, although not sure how a quad enduro setup will encroach on that)
- Mechanical lockers for the @R.I.P. 's in the group
- 240volt 40amp outlet in the bed
- Better exterior cameras
- R!T rear camera washer

If all those things are done, and it's roughly the same high config price point. I might be compelled to swap out of my current quad and pay the difference.

Yes please!!

I wouldn’t say no to better quality cameras too!

-And refreshed Cameras
- making the USB outlets PD and add under-dash power back in the form us USB Type C.
-front camera washer

If I were to make a bet on on the rumored Ascent trim I suspect it will be:
in-house quad, heat pump, (tonneau obviously), a larger pack, refreshed cameras, and L-R locking.

I outlined it in my earlier comment, but the current Max pack is 16.5 kWh per module, so with the same density an 11 module pack would be 181.5 kWh...or what Max pack was supposed to be the first go around.

Pretty much on point there but as zefram47 mentioned the current max pack has 16.5kwh/module so I would be content with 10 for 165kwh paired with DM so as to not loose too much payload.
-lets not forget the desperately needed sunshade
-bring back the Explore package without the glass roof. (Now with the price hike I believe the demand will be there)

While it is closer to 16.5/module, I was going with usable as a metric for that one rather than gross.
Edit* I mean in reference to the large packs density.

Automatic sunshade would be nice, for sure.

I think/hope the removable roof will be configurable on that one. We've already see the detailed patents.

Will Rivian add 80A L2 charging since all their competitors are doing it?

Care to elaborate on "this"? I wonder if there are any minor differences in the rumors.
I didn’t hear anything about the chemistry but I was told 800v is coming along with a heat pump. Quad Rivian sourced motor to be introduced shortly after.

I would be shocked to see so many upgrades in a "refresh." Because of price point and tax rebates, I plan on holding onto my R1T for awhile. BRING ON THE R2!
Gotta keep it fresh and appetizing. If orders slow down, Rivian will be in a world of hurt. Besides, they are probably designing all these things for the R2 anyhow. 800v, 120-hp option, better phone charger lol, possibly wheel locks. Why not pull that engineering into the R1 asap?

I’m convinced it’ll be Ascend [ass-send] which may be the name of the motor (vs. Enduro) for the in-house Quad.
