Anybody know if this service centre will allow test drives? I got an invite to configure the R1S, but would like to try it out before configuring.

I asked customer service yesterday, but no response.

I wonder if only R1T reservation holders are being given access since there's only R1T's in the shop right now. Just a wild guess. I'm an Oct '21 reservation holder and first noticed Shop access yesterday morning, but I'm holding out for my preferred config.

With the powered tonneau replacements now underway, I'm also curious to see if they add the factory option back. Has anyone who has picked up one of these vehicles from the Shop asked a Guide if you'll be able to purchase the powered tonneau after delivery at the pre-price hike cost?

I have a call with my guide tomorrow. Guide works out of Vancouver still.

He mentioned possibly picking up next week if the vehicle is ready. I don't think I can next week but I'm ready to pick up dec 27/28/29/30 of they are!

Has anyone had any luck selling Tesla's? Her's only has 6,000km.

Tesla will offer you half of retail. It's brutal. The market is flooded with them. Not an easy car to sell right now unless you need it gone.

Funny enough 2nd week of Nov I decided to private sale my truck privately after hearing rivian trade in is not great. Dealer offered 20, sold for 28 in a day.

And been struggling with one car and was wondering if it was a bad decision, then out of nowhere I have a truck coming .... Next week will be a long long week while I wait.

Just logged in an now seeing the green bar to the shop. Also, my delivery window of Feb-Mar for my 2020 pre-order R1T Launch Edition, now shows 'Processing Estimate'. Is this possibly about to be updated with a...dare I say....earlier date with the opening of the Toronto SC imminent? Anyone else seeing the same?

I've read that when Rivian grants access to the Shop, they change your status to "Processing Estimate" until such time Shop access is removed. At least, that's my understanding. It has nothing to do with the SC opening soon.

Customer service told me that demo drives will start s00n, and that reservation holders will be invited to book their demo drive first.

I recently visited the Chicago Service Center when I was on a trip in the US. The sales guy there told me that they are likely to replace the CCS connector with the NACS much earlier than everyone is thinking.. He hinted at January. I haven't been able to confirm this but it may be worth holding off on the R1 Shop if your estimate is Feb/March (like mine).

Exciting that things are moving though!

That be very surprising as it's been said 2025. Adapters are fine hopefully they send them out free.

For those waiting that still have shop access I recommend browsing there might be something there that matches close enough for you. It moved me from April to next week by taking a shop truck!
