Looks like someone on Reddit spotted one in NY. Is this the first sighting in the NE??

Somewhere they said all the paint will be metallic and it seems they are very color changing with light the pictures where the blue is light and vibrant its a sunny day and the dark ones are cloudy or night. I think its awesome! if its always changing it defiantly wont be boring.

The backseat looks...tight...from a headroom perspective anyway.

I'll be really happy when these trucks (and R1S) are out there for people to sit in. The rear headroom on the R1T is listed as 38.1". That's .6" more than my Q5, which is fine for normal people. But we all know the measurements can be very misleading for all cars.

If you're looking for something as roomy as an F-150, this ain't your truck.

Seeing more and more people complain that the vehicles are not what they want and that Rivian made mistakes and should be making different vehicles or with different sizes/features/etc.

They have a clear vision of what they want to produce and the niche market they are going for. These vehicles are intentionally designed for a small(ish) market segment. They don't appear to have any difficulty getting people to buy them.

If someone is looking for something different than what they are making, the choices are to "settle" for what Rivian is producing or move on to something else. If being an EV is a "must have", that severely limits the choices and inevitably leads to more compromises from an individual's ideal vehicle.

The R1T is bigger and more powerful than my ideal vehicle. But the "pro" list to offset that is significant. Only after I see and drive one will the final verdict be in.

Safe to assume this isn’t targeted at me? All I did was share a photo and an observation based on that photo. I neither complained nor claimed that Rivian made any sort of mistake. Nor did I suggest they make vehicles of different sizes/features.

My goodness, I just don’t understand this forum sometimes.

Yes, I don't understand why so many people compare the Rivian R1T with a Ford F150 or Ram1500.

Those are pickup trucks, the R1T is an "Adventure Vehicle". The R1T is NOT trying to replace everyone's construction site F150.

FYI. My long wheelbase F150 never fits in a parking space with sticking way out. The Rivian might be the perfect, Goldilocks sized vehicle....

An R1T is .9” shorter than a minimum length standard parking space. Goldilocks indeed!
