The DMV has finally moved the Clean Air Vehicle Decal process online. It takes an average of 4 months if you mail in an application. You can now do this online and pay, hopefully speeding up the process.

Sept 2025 for most vehicles.

Ugh. I just tried this. It had multiple errors on almost every screen. Also said that I already applied or had decals, but I've never applied.

Have you checked your bank account to see if the check was cashed? I mailed my application in late November and the check was cashed late last week. I was starting to think it was lost and was debating canceling the check.

Unfortunately nothing cashed yet. Will keep checking for the next few weeks.

I'd submitted the paperwork in August 2023, and received the stickers in November 2023.

About 10 days to two weeks after the check was cashed.

Update. I skipped the line by using the online process.

Good to know! I kept putting it off because it was never online and I'm lazy. Plus I rarely need to use car pool.

Just registered, signed up, and paid online. All done. Now let's see how long it takes. I hate putting stickers on cars so I'll have to figure out how to do it. And the clear PPF under it is just as bad to me since I still have to put the sticker on.
