Wanted to introduce my forum friends to R1Ta. She came to me from a Rivian employee as an early vin originally acquired through their employee ownership program. Gently used and clearly loved it was time for R1Ta to join me for her next, and dare I say real, adventure. Coming from a young family R1Ta was a commuter, soccer, field trip truck. With me she will be in an emergency response related truck all over Southern California. She will get loved and used a different way for sure with at least 20K miles per year (for context she came to me with basically 20k on her after 2 years). Proven on the road I am confident R1Ta will serve me well and has already provided me with so much fun and joy on just a few weeks. Love ya already babe ❣ R1Ta

Love the glamour shots and the enthusiasm! With all the doom and gloom around EV's lately lets not forget that Rivian is delivering some of the most exciting vehicles to drive out there at any price point.

This is the risky behavior I came here for …. 264

she came from someone very surprising and high up in the company. He dropped so many gems on why the LE truck is the best config to own. Such an awesome experience aquiring this truck!

I studied this vehicle purchase to the point that my girl and family were starting to become unhappy with me. I looked at ICE, EV, would have ponied up for CT if it hit the key marks I wanted it to. R1T is way better than anything else you can get for the money. Full stop.

So you have no rattles, no tocking, clunking half-shafts etc on a vin that early? Almost amazing. I'm thinking of buying a new one that (hopefully) has none of these issues.

this guy works in leadership on the team for the interior for R1T

I’m supposed to get the beta software upgrades, although that is yet to be seen after the accounts of transferred, and everything. But to start, at least I received two quick updates that were beta OS updates. I hope that continues now that the transfer in the system is complete. I am stopping by the service center tomorrow so I will be exploring many things with them haha.
It also has the new upgraded/fixed powered T cover. He took an immaculate care of the truck.

there is a lot more that’s different than the simple meridian Soundsystem change. He said a number of the adjustments are still much better than a lot of the competition but he said even down to the stitching used in the interior they’ve changed a lot of the materials. A big one he pointed to is all the chrome on the interior. He said they’ve actually removed quite a bit of that chrome on the interior. But the material is also different. Now it’s like a painted plastic. There were a lot of things he was pointing to on this. He also said for all the trouble they’ve had w/ enduro that platform is ultimately way better.

he got out of this truck for a few reasons. Mainly he made between 10/20K, they already had a R1S, and took delivery of Dual Perf Max. I asked why he didn’t want to keep LE in spite of this and said he is planning on enduro quad when that comes out and R2. They just don’t get attached to or collect cars they “enjoy” them is how he put it. It checked all the boxes. At that time I saw a lot of value in owning at the end of 36 mo rather than owing a chunk after a lease. Also Was really sold on LE once I experienced it and he was talking about the interior differences some of which I definitely did notice. He is super cool. We still text
Lucky you ?
