Man, Rivian really owes the RivianStories guys a hat tip. Their long form interviews have been the only real source of intrigue from Rivian for me in a long time. The visit enabled the interviews, but without @skyote @jimcgov3 and Kyle that would have been an entirely ho-hum frustrating event for me. I'm honestly surprised that Rivian didn't realize anything this week, and didn't expect another interview from the guys. Nice job!
I swear if I don’t see RJ and @Rivian driving Kyle, @skyote , and @jimcgov3 around in his bed over Mt. Rivian, I’m cancelling my order. Those three have been their best spokesmen for a long time now.Man, Rivian really owes the RivianStories guys a hat tip. Where do you live? -25c is extremely cold for most of the populated portions us and canada. One point about heat pumps, where I live they are not effective much of the winter. They’re really only good to -25c.
Meh. It's not uncommon in the upper Midwest. But at low temps don't they basically result in the same efficiency as a resistive heater?Where do you live? -25c is extremely cold for most of the populated portions us and canada.
Winnipeg. -25 is pretty normal for the prairies. You must be from Toronto ?????Where do you live? -25c is extremely cold for most of the populated portions us and canada.
Lots of heat pumps have resistive heaters for supplementary heat. an uncle has a cabin he heats with a heat pump that uses the adjacent lake as a heat source-ground there is rock, can’t do ground source. If the resistive heat kicks in, big hydro bill. ?Meh. It's not uncommon in the upper Midwest. But at low temps don't they basically result in the same efficiency as a resistive heater?
That's because you are not boring like I am.... Been R1S El Cap/Black from day one, never even thought about changing.I’ve never stressed about vehicle colors so much in my life. When I saw Forest Green in September of 2019, that was MY color. Then, when the configurator opened, it was El Cap Granite ALL THE WAY. Not long after that I determined Rivian Blue was IT! Just yesterday I determined Limestone was MY color. I woke up this morning am back to Rivian Blue. This is insane! ?
FWIW, I have an R1S on pre-order.
I would 100% do the blue if it wasn’t $3500 more. As it is, I’m going with the included SilverI’ve never stressed about vehicle colors so much in my life. You and I could be twins.... lol -I've been through almost the exact same rollercoaster..... Forest Green, El Cap, and Rivian Blue...... Although Limestone has not been on my short list..... Right now I'm El Cap or Rivian Blue...... R1SI’ve never stressed about vehicle colors so much in my life. When I saw Forest Green in September of 2019, that was MY color. LOL - Don't shoot the messenger.... That was from the Rivian Stories guys and it was freakin hysterical give @skyote's opinion on the matter! My current car is blue, so that’s out. I was Forest Green at the start, then configured with El Cap. I’ve stuck with that but I was tempted by Red Canyon until @bajadahl pointed out that it looked burnt orange.

I'd pay money to see them invite @skyote to the factory and then hand him the "key" to a Canyon Red saying "sorry this is all we have for you to test drive!"
Don’t underestimate how boring I can be. ?That's because you are not boring like I am.... Been R1S El Cap/Black from day one, never even thought about changing.
Come on over to the boring side, it is a low-stress zone....![]()
Normaly yes, they have a resistive heater backup.Meh. It's not uncommon in the upper Midwest. But at low temps don't they basically result in the same efficiency as a resistive heater?
Nah, Quebec.Winnipeg. -25 is pretty normal for the prairies. You must be from Toronto ?????
