Strange preconditioning behavior?

Anyone seeing their Rivian precondition an hour or more before a charging stop? Multiple times now our R1S has started to precondition 1 to 1.5 hrs before a stop. I could swear a couple times it even stopped (at least the notification cleared) before the actual charging stop. FWIW this has been on trips to/from San Diego and Mammoth and I have seen this around SoCal and the Owens Valley and in mostly moderate to cool temps like ~40s to 50s. Just curious if anyone else has seen this?

Yep.

There is a lot of thermal density in these packs, and the cooling plates don't actually go through the batteries the way Tesla's do; they are sandwiched between the packs. That means that it takes time to wick heat out of them, and that time is what you are witnessing.
