KO3s installed yesterday. First time these have been installed at the Burien Discount Tire. These guys are great and I highly recommend. Special thanks to Chris and Patrick. They took special care to get it done right. Running at 65psi. I know I'll take an efficiency hit however the drive home looked very exceptable. Need more miles to fully understand the hit.

Update-
Ski Day last week during winter storm warning with heavy snow and temps in low 20s. RT from Seattle to Crystal Mountain and got 2.00!

That efficiency isn't all that bad considering how aggressive the KO2's and KO3's are. I had KO2's on my Bronco and loved them, despite the road noise and lack of MPG.

Making my tire choices way more difficult between these and the Toyo Open Country A/T III EV specific tires coming out soon, hopefully the Toyo's work some magic and get ridiculous efficiency numbers at high PSI and extreme snow performance at lower PSI.

I’m really considering getting these KO3s because my scorpions are really loud after 15k miles. Did you notice any difference in ride comfort with these? I’m not as worried about range but really don’t want my truck to ride any stiffer.

Can't answer for OP but I can't imagine these will be quieter than the Pirelli. I have KO2's on my Wrangler (very different vehicle, obviously) but they are loud AF

Getting the KO3s installed now at Discount Tires. They signed a deal with Rivian and this was the first Rivian done at this location. They had the pucks and put it up on four jacks as well.

They were working out great. Had them rotated with no issues at Discount tire and put about 10K miles on them. A slight impact to range but overall was very pleased with them. I sold the truck last week as I needed a 3rd row and couldnt get the trade in value from Rivian that I wanted to get an R1S. Also have had issues with charging in rural areas and decided to go with a PHEV. I have the R2 reserved and still may look at the R1S in the future if enough Charging stations come online. It worked out ok for me over a couple of years and almost 40K miles but kept running into situations where I couldn’t take the Rivian.

Does anyone have a significant report on the KO3s running off-road and at what tire pressures? Seems like 60 to 65 psi is the proper road pressures, but I'm curious how low you can go off-road. I know rivian recommends 30 psi airing down Max, would that number change with a different tire?

I have had KOs on my 4Runners/Land Cruisers since the 90s but had a bad batch of KO2s on my 2015 4runner that I could never get balanced and started looking at other options.

I put the BFG Trail Terrain tires on my 4runner (Which doesn't really go off-road much anymore) and those have been better for efficiency (mpg) by a significant margin.

I'm curious if anyone has tried the Trail Terrain tires on a Rivian yet...... They seem much better on road but still have some tread and the all important "burly sidewall" that KO2 folks often like.
