I've been reading and watching some of the Cybertruck reviews with interest. This conclusion from Edmunds Cars seems typical. "If you want a working truck, buy the Ford. If you want a versatile, fun, electric truck to support an active lifestyle, buy the Rivian. And if you want a Cybertruck, buy the Cybertruck.
This reminds me of the time when my wife's firm held a formal dinner dance around Halloween. It was advertised as a costume party. We were one of the few couples that came in costume. We even won the award for best costume. Almost, everyone else was in formal attire. I learned that night that it doesn't feel good to get a lot of attention if it is just because you look silly.
I think Elon got it wrong. It wasn't the Cybertruck that needs a thick skin, it is the Cybertruck owner.
