So we took our first trip to Norman yesterday and the report with my current set up atomic wheels aw09 with general grabber hts60. Number is very similar to the OEM 21".

Conserve mode driving average 71 which means lots of time we are in the 80 or above. Temperature was around 80 degree with about 10 Mph wind. Forgot to record on the return trip.

Top pic is yesterdays's trip. bottom pic is last year's trip with original OEM 21"

I’m really starting to think weight of tire isn’t that big of a factor. It’s more the rolling resistance the specific tire may have in combination of course with weight of package (rim and tire) My terrain contact h/t got 2.3 in 40 degree weather doing 70mph on a 180mph hwy drive I believe going with terrain contact H/T or HTS60 116T in the 275/60/20 and you will be rock solid :)

Same here, I definitely don't think the total weight matters that much on the efficiency. My current setup is almost 20 lbs lighter on each wheel compared to the OEM 21".
I do like the general grabbers HTS60. The drives and feels are very much like the OEM 21" pirelli and cost less than half.

This was yesterday, Conserve 20” OEM 2.05 MPK at 76 mph (GPS), 2.3 at 80 mph into 10 mph headwind seems pretty exceptional to be honest…
What has your long term average been?

How was the efficiency on the way back? I'm doing a 200 miles trip in couple days too and will report the efficiency on the grabbers hts60.
I don't think I ever updated. Really good at 77 mph.

Just got my new rim/tire combo with the ridge grappler 275/65 116T. I will report back after broken in and put through its paces :)

The wheel/tire combo weights exactly 80lbs which is what my R800 with the 275/60 terrain contact H/T were

also btw, off topic slightly but if you go from 22/21 down to 20" rims and 275/65/20 your speedometer will match gps speed perfectly. If you go 275/60/20 it will be off 2mph (GPS 70 mph will equal 72 Vehicle Speedometer)

Added image I took today to show how speedo matches gps with my current setup

I think you have that in reverse. 275/60/20 with will match the 21" and 22"

The speedometer from factory is offset by 2mph at speeds above 40. So by going to 275/65 it ends up with a perfect match. I tested it out with waze, street radar and a gps speed app.

Speedometer is offset by 2mph at speeds above 40? What is the reason for this?

Many cars do this. There are other threads on this subject too. I know for a fact that vehicles with factory 21/22 rims and tires their speedometer is 2mph faster than actual speeds.

Ok, I did not know this. Is the efficiency calculator in the rivian account for this when you driving mostly highway speed?

Now that I have no idea lol. I’ve been using TezLab to more accurately see my efficiency. I like how much info that app/service gives me

I'm been using Teslafi as well. Great program. I do noticed that Teslafi calculation of efficiency is consistently higher than the one in Rivian.
