First week with my R1T, I think I’ve killed every bug know to man kind. Anyone else have this much carnage on their vehicles? I guess no grill really lets you see the death cars cause. I’m feeling a good side business, exterminator. I’ll call it Silent but Deadly Pest Control.
Bath time tonight for sure.

Yes, I’ve seen quite a bit of bug-carnage on road trips on that front face.

This was one of the reasons why I got PPF for the full front of my R1S to make for easier cleaning.

Yeah, almost puked when I saw the front face after a recent road trip. Ugh.

But it also led me to a smile as the next step is one of my favorite ones - cleaning the car!

PPF is on my radar also. Does it help with the bug guts wiping off easier?

I wish had a good picture. I recently drove from SoCal to Vegas. Then back a few days later. Tons of bugs.

Yes absolutely and well worth it in my opinion. This is the first car i've had PPF done and it's worth it to pay more for a company that knows how to do it right. I didn't get the full PPF wrap but just did the full front section that also covers side mirrors.

Given the boxy design of the front, I was also worried about rock chips hitting the front so wanted protection. I also worried that the boxy front and bright lights would lead to lots of bug (which we don't get a ton here in Denver) splatter and from what I read/heard about PPF is that it makes for easier cleaning- which I can confirm. We are planning on doing a road trip to SoCal in June and I know cleanup will be much easier having done PPF in the front!

Ceramic > PPF. With PPF, at least the bug guts stick and stain PPF, not paint. Ceramic resist chemical bonding. So unless the worse happens, most debris should just hose right off. Ceramic + PPF is best of both worlds of course but $.

That’s a good sign. We’ve seen a dramatic drop in bugs due to pesticide use, and they’re coming back. At least that’s my assumption based on the carnage on my truck after a trip to socal a few weeks ago.

I’m striving to be vegan, so I drive only 45 on the highways. ?

Did ceramic a couple of months after ownership started last spring… had quite the slaughter on the front. After ceramic, if there’s bugs on the front, the couple that are there are easy to finger flick off. Or if a bit more, a spray or two of ceramic detail spray and a microfiber bring back a perfect grill easily. Unbelievable. Will never have another car without ceramic - for the bugs alone has been totally worth it.

One person’s puke catalyst is another person’s Roadkill Café menu. ?
