A2Z NACS To CCS1 Adapter Review

Got my Typhoon and went over to a local SC to test. Ordered 3/18. This thing is no knockoff, has some heft to it and no way the Tesla one will be built better IMHO. Worked petfect but the plug and charge rates are crazy! Had to take up 2 spots as the outside spot was taken. I'll do another test this week via Tesla app. Hmmm now where to take a road trip this weekend

Got mine today and headed straight to sc to try it out.

So far so good, not even even warm to touch after 5 mins at full pelt.

Ordered 3/19, received yesterday (4/22)

Tested today at my local SC, plug and charge failed (I tried 3 times), charging via the Tesla app worked though (and 120kW+ at 68% with a cold pack, amazing).

Anyone else have plug and charge issue with SuperChargers?

You may have. Credit card issue on your rivian account. Try adding another payment method and making it default.

Received mine yesterday (ordered 3/19) and tried it last evening. Worked flawlessly all around.

Rate was $0.53/kWh (Cincinnati, OH)

Used mine for the first time yesterday with no issues. Didn't even feel warm after charging for about 45 minutes.

Just got mine in the mail - very impressed with the apparent heft and build quality.

I am a bit concerned about it's slipperiness however. I see that another supplier just started taking orders on a plastic cover with a lanyard and I didn't see the point. Now that I've handled it I am thinking that wrapping it with some elastomeric tape to improve grip might be a better approach.

$0.70/kWh, damn!

I feel for the folks that can't level 2 charge at home. I guess charging in the middle of the night in a dark parking lot is option that can reduce the price 20-30 cents/kWh.

Just tried the A2Z adapter I got and plug and charge didn't work (several tries). I had to initiate the charge from Tesla app. Also, the A2Z adapter is really hard to push in and had to manually move the locking tab.

Yes, I do have a stored payment in Rivian app. Actually, Rivian handled the payment even though the charge was initiated from Tesla app.
Also, I just read the manual and watched the A2Z adapter review video and realized the locking tab indeed is manual....... Well, lesson learned: always read manual first before trying new things!
