My aftermarket console organizer for the Tesla has a place for the J1772 adaptor.

Maybe one of the forum sponsor accessory makers can make a console organizer that holds both A2Z and Rivian provided adaptor (vertically since its deep) so that it doesn't take another case to keep it from rolling around.
Driver door pocket or center console? I was thinking the former.

I had been thinking of throwing my adapter and my TeslaTap into a standard pelican-style case in the frunk, but I wonder if they would fit well in a camp speaker replacement drawer? I probably won't put the J3400 adapter there myself because I do use the camp speaker some, but others don't.

Day 2 of NACS shipments. Received mine today in SF Bay Area from distribution center in SoCal. It came wrapped in paper filler, no case like A2Z adapter. First impression is that it isn’t as sturdy as A2Z. Knocking on the plastic housing and it sounds like it can crack. The gray locking lever is plastic so that’ll break at some point. It was super slippery when I took it out of the plastic bag. Gonna have to wrap it in grip tape. It fits nicely, for easy access, in the driver side door pocket.
To alleviate the questions:

All this talk about cases... Can you see how it fits in the travel charger bag along side existing cable and charger?

Why would you want to waste precious console space storing these bulky things?

Either is fine. Whichever is easier and handy. The only thing about the door pocket is how secure is it when the door is being opened and closed, sometime slammed closed.

There was an image of someone who put it into the door pocket already and it seem to fit so just need to keep it from sliding inside the door pocket, I guess...

I guess it depends on the person and the use-case.

I don't keep much in any vehicle and currently my R1S center console holds 4 bottles of water and have a console tray that holds a sunglass, a small travel tissue and a coin holder. Not a big deal to lose a bottle or two of water to give up some of the depth.

That said, the suggestion of using door pocket probably is a simpler and better solution.

Am I the only one that keeps having this scene roll around in my head while we are talking about the adapters and pelican cases?

Ask around on the forum or on your local Facebook group. I asked on FB in my local group (SF Bay Area) and Texas group. A very generous TX Rivian owner let me borrow his A2Z adapter last month for my 4,800 mile trip and mailed it to be to borrow.

Kyle just said on the batteries included podcast that the next batch of adapters is delayed and automakers don't know when they will get the next shipment from his "trusted source". Don't know if this affects Rivian or not.

I was thinking at a bit of an angle inside of the door pocket.

It's on the list. (amongst many thing)
