I am at 3xxx and a early 22 delivery. Was just thinking since I am in first 4k trucks possibly delivered....it would have been quicker....but yeh....looking like people with later delivery dates...might be years to get them...like working tonneau covers.

Unfortunately, Rivian themselves probably can't do anything about this. Rumor is these are being made in Buffalo by the Tesla team. Who knows what state that team is in now.

We really need the UL certificate to come out, so the A2Z can be given status by Rivian.

I agree. I am early 22 delivery and 3xxx vin so I theoretically should be somewhat early....but seems it's going to be along time for most...

Received my Adapter. Here is my timeline to track when you could gage when you will possibly receive.
Vin# is less than xxx200
Delivery: Oct 2021
Email notice op-in: 4/4/24
Email Ready to ship:4/25/24
Email Gear shipping: 5/1/24
Gear Arrival: 5/4/24

Note: timeline was the same on 2 separate R1Ts. Vin# also below 200 and same delivery date.

Here's how it goes, from start to finish:
1. You get a first email asking you if you want to opt-in. It's nothing more than an email with text (read it) and a button to click on. Upon clicking there are no forms to fill out. It's just a simple head count and telling them "yes", through clicking on the button.
2. When they have one to send you, you will get an email to confirm your shipping address.
3. If you have a UPS account, you will get a notice when the shipping label is created. It would be from Rivian's distribution center in Colton, CA.
4. It gets delivered by UPS. That's it.

If you own a Rivian, and have a Rivian account, you'll get the emails and the adapter eventually. So far, only some from the first year of deliveries ('20~'21) are receiving their adapters. If you are not in that early group, it's not your turn yet.

Make sure Rivian is excluded from your spam filters.

Gahhh. Vin is in the 16xxx range. 2nd/3rd round of s00n. At least this time, unlike the manual cover which I ended up cancelling, its free so I can't really complain....

Finally got an email to "opt in/ reserve" the adapter. Will see how long it takes from here. I just got the A2Z adapter last week so at least i'll be covered until the official Rivian one arrives.
