Don’t call attention to it. You will scare them away like a bunch of squirrels.

I like when people try to explain how any given tech stock valuation is rational. I am furthest thing from a stock analyst but it sure seems to me that many stocks especially in the tech sector have irrational valuations. Some high and some low.
Solar flares didn't brick all the EV's thus EV stocks jump 10%.

I have a friend who insists the market is rational. I think over time one can make that argument, but daily fluctuations often seem to be the result of emotional buying/selling.

It’s certainly been emotional any time I’ve purchased RIVN.

It's rational, but one of the variables in the rationaility equation is emotions. ?

I am hearing reports that huge new tariffs may be levied on imported EVs. The details could be announced as early as tomorrow.

Let's talk irrational trades. Most EV stocks were up 5-10% today, except Vinfast that was up over 50% presumably on news of their integration with Sony's RIDEVU streaming platform (in addition to the tariffs on Chinese imports). Sorry, but RIDEVU isn't a game-changer for Vinfast, it's not even exclusive to Vinfast, and it appears to be limited to only Sony content. Based on Sony's complete lack of prior success in the streaming space, RIDEVU won't ever amount to anything yet somehow it's causing Vinfast to soar.

Daily fluctuations = irrational. Consistently irrational over a period of time = trend.

If you want to see a stock that doesn't make sense, Ampirus (AMPX). Huge drops when there aren't any news at all and when there is actually positive news. They are probably the only Silicon Anode battery tech outfits that are actually producing and selling batteries (mostly military and eVTOL applications right now).
