Back from service - with a new DC/DC converter. Symptoms were very similar to @freshpow’s (without the whole horn thing, my replacement horn was installed last November).

It was the PSE Windfarm event over in Ellensburg - the post trail run; it had been so dry and i drove with windows down enjoying the absolute lack of engine and exhaust sound.
