I am looking for someone who has EV Sportline running g boards on a R1S.

Question which one did you do the standard or "L" slot ? Sorry stupid question I am trying to understand the difference. I am not looking for rock sliders just running boards as wife is 5'9" and says it's to tall to get in.. Heading to a Braves game beginning of August so I am going to have them install them is why I am asking I want to pay for them and book the day.

You just have to choose the design you want. See the highlighted two options. One kinda looks like the Rivian Diamond logo (triple square) and the other is three slots. Pictures below.

I have the triple square and like the look.

With regards to installation, Standard vs L is referring to the holes they cut in the bottom of your car to attach the mounting brackets.

Standard uses a large round hole for each bracket. L uses an L shaped cutout that roughly matches the shape of the bracket.

If you like laying on the ground under your vehicle and admiring the smooth plastic undercarriage then you would probably appreciate the L shaped cutouts. Otherwise it makes no difference. You cannot see the holes at all unless you are laying on the ground.

Personally, I cut even more precise holes.

It took 10x as long as the L cutouts would have. But I thought it was worth it. Just knowing that there were holes down there that were bigger than absolutely necessary would have bothered me even though I will never see them.

Here is what mine look like.

I'm curious about getting running boards installed to make it easier for the wife and kids to get in and out of the R1S.

Are there any trade offs/issues with service later on that need to be considered?

I have not had mine serviced since I installed them. They do not block the jack lift locations and are completely bolt on so I would have a hard time believing a service rep if he told me it was an issue.

Rivian has worked on my car several times since I installed the running boards. I've also done 2 tire swaps at discount tire, and been to a body shop. No one has said anything about the running boards.

Only reason I am 6'3" wife is 5 9"...trying to convince her to sell her suburban drive the R1S and I can get a T...she isn't a fan of brake regen...
