If your update is not downloading now, I think this might work. It worked for me:
1. Lock the truck
2. Find a raccoon in your trash can
3. Spend an hour trying to clean the trashcan with bleach and a brush that is too small
4. Check phone and BOOM!

your mileage may vary.

personally, I would skip the raccoon part and just do steps 1 and 4. I got a suspicion that steps 2 and 3 are not related.

Next update will you please update at my house? I have a lot of racoons and many dirty trash cans.
I'll provide all the level 2 charging you'd like.

By the way, this is NOT tried and true but HAS worked for me and others in the past - at times. It IS possible to call or chat with Rivian and get moved “up” in the rotation for an update. It’s hard to come up with a good excuse other than “I need it now!” but sometimes that works.

I have to call back service for something else, so I will try today and let folks know. I am sure Rivian wants their phones to light up like a telethon!

Too many replies in a row but @Dark-Fx from the other thread. I usually update ASAP, but the last one didn't have anything that excited me and my vampire drain was the lowest I've had before that so I decided to sit that one out for a bit. Then kept sitting it out until now as I avidly await the low regen mode.

I will need to carry a tub of Windex Wipes around to keep that camera clean now. I rarely used any of the other cameras, but I can see me using this one.

I personally already keep one of those detailing microfiber rags on the floor of my center console, precisely to clean off the cameras every once in a while.

Has anyone noticed a difference in the R1S suspension after the update? I’m still waiting on mine.

I noticed a significant improvement ! Feels more refined!

Could've been luck of the draw, but last update with the add of the charger scores I wound up getting it in the first wave after commenting on a Rivian social media post about it. I hadn't been front of line since getting the bad update last year and did not get the first wave on this update.

I'm happy to report that this update has brought VERY noticeable improvements to the ride quality on Gen 1 Quad R1S. The R1S no longer pogo's and porpoises (front and rear) like it used to. The rear end squat on acceleration and front end nose dive on deceleration are much improved.
Moderate setting seems perfect. Soft setting is good too, not as floaty as it was before. did not try Firm yet, but I rarely used it before anyways.

I have a VIN 3XXXX 2024 R1S and the update is installing now. I'll get to figure out the UI changes while driving the kids to school tomorrow.

I drove about 20 miles with Quad R1S Gen 1 new update. It seems throttle mapping is improved, but a little less aggressive in all purpose mode. The AC controls are much improved. It seems the suspension is a little better in all purpose mode - but I think that a lot of people confuse bouncy suspension with throttle action on the bumps in this car...when we go over bumps our throttle foot moves, which engages regen, then our foot moves because of that, which then causes acceleration and pogo.

Does anyone know if this update fixes the issue of the brake clicking like crazy when driving straight and level with Driver+ engaged?

Yes, it can be. They release to everyone in batches. I've been in the first batch, and other times I've waited several weeks.

Don't worry about it. You get it when it's your turn, when it's pushed to you. Not everyone gets it at the same time. For me, delivery almost a year ago, I get them consistently 6 to 7 days after first word of roll out.
