Installed update, played with it in the garage. The new A/B HVAC memory setting is nice, but if you’re a driver that doesn’t carry front passengers often, you need to set up A/B for driver and passenger. Recalling position requires pressing both sides. Wish they could be unified. I like either all front vents directed towards me or directed away.

will have to test suspension improvements over the weekend. Not a big fan of the cartoonish design style or the now boxed in nav display in the driver display

Yea nav blended in great before. Looked smooth. Not a fan of the box now either.

Is it just me, or someone else did notice a improvement in efficiency? I just did a 8 mile drive but on a flat road i achieved 3.5 mi/kw. Never happened that before.

I know alot of things will be playing a part but just asking.

Just received mind and it's wonderful. This is not a 'nibbling around the edges' update. The new graphics are good. The new font is good. The new HVAC is really good. The turn signal cameras are excellent (for what they are).

I feel like the sleeper here is the suspension tweaks though. I wasn't expecting much, but it felt really good. So good that I was questioning if there was some placebo stuff going on, everywhere. Firm felt firm and not harsh. Moderate felt perfect. Soft felt like it would be great for a road trip.

I didn't notice road imperfections as much. There is a dip and bump in the road that has been unloading the suspensions of both of my R1T's for 2+ years every time I've driven over it. Today was the very first time it felt controlled, which is wild IMHO.

More testing is warranted.

You know what, I noticed the same thing. My efficiency is up about .3 over what it should be over the testing loop I drove. This might be due to a lack of past history after the updated, but I think more observation is warranted here too.

I feel the same

I normally drive on soft and the truck feels much more composed than it did prior. Bumps are slightly more noticeable but dampening is much improved and there is less “bouncing” after hitting a dip etc.
It may also be in my head but the steering feels tighter than it did before.

I finished the install and yes, the cameras are pretty bad, especially when you have a Tesla in the same driveway. Not only is the Tesla clearer but larger, maybe because it’s on the center screen.

Is it me or does the Birdseye camera quality look sharper than the side view cameras.
I think I’d much prefer the cameras in the driver screen instead of center screen. This is the same way Kia/hyundai do it. To me it makes more sense since it’s right in front of the driver. Looking at the center screen doesn’t make sense to me and seems needlessly dangerous. I think Rivian made the correct decision.

I don’t have it yet but I’m a bit concerned about the suspension changes. In soft mode right now I think the ride is perfect. I definitely do not want it stiffer than it currently is. This car is a commuter for 99% of the drivers out there.

The best part of this update, for me, is passenger airbag warning moved to the upper right corner. Now the passenger HVAC controls are always available. This small change will lead to much less complaining from the right side of the vehicle.

Does it notify on the phone app or do you have to check on the vehicle?
It notifies both…phone app and vehicle

I think the vector graphics look terrible... this is life, not a video game
I think your in the minority here. They look great, I really like the font changes and the unreal engine graphics are nice to have. I would say it is on par with most phone and computer apps and that is a good thing.

Even in industrial and military applications the human factor interaction of graphs is being rethought on machinery etc as small changes can impact attention, fatigue, etc

Roll control has vastly been improved incorporating cabin isolation while still keeping the same compression/rebound of all the modes. Sport is slightly better again (not as soft) over all real great suspension tweaks and yes that was the stand out for me more so than the blind spot and new UI!
