I have a Rivian wall charger at one home and a ChargePoint at the other. Both are hardwired on 70 Amp circuits and charge at the same rate of about 25 miles per hour.

However, I have issues with scheduling. Electric service is provisioned by different companies, each with their own Time of Use billing schedule. One has low rates from 7 PM to 1 PM and the other from 10 PM to 5 PM. My R1S does not recognize two locations. I've tried setting the charging schedule from 10 PM to 1 PM but that doesn't work either.

I'm not sure there would be a scheduling problem if I had Rivian chargers in both locations. If anyone has insight on scheduling charging at two locations I'd welcome suggestions.
I assume that neither the Rivian nor the ChargePoint offer scheduled charging on their own? I thought the Rivian one did - or maybe I just thought it should because it's so expensive. This would allow you to set the ToU window on the individual EVSEs and just let the truck charge whenever it senses power.

Thank you for your response.

Yes, both ChargePoint and Rivian apps have scheduling. As one would expect, the Rivian Charger is integrated within the main Rivian app we all use. If you change the schedule on the Rivian app it updates the schedule in the R1S and vice versa. The ChargePoint app, however, requires the scheduling on the car to be turned off.

I've tried all different combinations of setting up the schedule. As an example, right now I am at the ChargePoint home and scheduling is working. If I were to go to the Rivian charger home now, the Rivian app and R1S would both read 'Not at saved location' and it would begin charging as soon as it was plugged in, regardless of time. If I were to try and reset the schedule, it would still read 'Not at saved location' and and still not honor the schedule.

Perhaps the issue has more to do with 'saved location', but I don't see anyway to save one location on the Rivian screen or app, let alone multiple locations.

Here's a screenshot of the ChargePoint app saying turn off the car scheduling.

Same here. I bought the Telsa Univeral charger. And, a locking cabinet to put it in. Will set a weekly rate for renters that is reasonable, like $35 or something.

Until V2H comes out before you get a vehicle that eventually supports 80A first (or a Taycan). Plus V2H often supports slow DCFC as it uses DC to draw power to an inverter to power the home.

In the meantime, we use Wallbox... we had a ChargePoint but they only support one Home/Flex unit PER ACCOUNT. When we got our Rivian it came with a Rivian home unit which we used to replace the old ChargePoint Home (32A). But then learned about Wallbox and how it supports up to 25 power sharing units. Just 2 daisy chained per house is good enough for us.. Currently have 2 (a 48A at our primary and a 40A at our weekend/summer place) and am about to order a 3rd one for a second charger at our primary residence.
