When I’m in cruise control or adaptive cruise control on the curvy interstate I drive on, my R1T will slow down by 2-5 MPH in curves. This makes my cruise control worthless, as it makes traffic behind me slow down when there is no need to slow down. Is there a way to turn off the curve slowdown?

I noticed it slowing down on curves with speed warnings, but not generally. Do these curves have signs? Were you doing well over the limit? I noticed it only when doing about ten over the overall limit and 20+ over the curve warnings.

For me. It speeds in the roundabouts. Should I even be getting off adaptive in roundabouts.
Er, YES!! It "loses" the car if it's way off to the side. I have a sharp curve (but not a normal city turn) into my neighborhood. It will try to just go back to full speed once the car in front of me has completed half the turn. And our local roundabouts are too small so it loses sight of the cars in it and speeds up.

Are you experiencing this in parleys canyon? I usually set my cruise control a little higher then what I would usually drive it at to counteract the slowdowns.

Driver + is needs improvement, no question about it. The ACC on my last vehicle (2018 Audi Q8) and on my wife's current vehicle (2020 Cayenne E-Hybrid) works better and is more consistent. Come ON Rivian, with all those cameras and sensors this truck should be a lot more capable.

Lots of curves in Pacific County on US-101. My primary reason for wanting Cruise Control is to avoid inadvertently speeding and getting tickets.

In dry weather, Rivian's ACC slows me down a little more than I'd like in the curves.

In wet weather, ACC doesn't quite slow me down as much as I'd like.

I'm happy if Cruise Control gets me close to the correct speed, without going so fast as to attract police attention. As long as I'm getting that, I can "fine tune" my speed with accelerator and brake, or turn off ACC when appropriate.

Best to all!

This is a feature called CSA - Curve Speed Assist. It's always on with ACC and HWA, and there are no adjustments.
Yes there is a setting in Driver +
No, there isn't.

Yes it is annoying and dangerous. I hoped Rivian would improve it; but I am not sure.
My Tesla did the same thing, in my area. Maybe you're expecting too much from a rather simple system. Full self driving sure does fine, but not adaptive or even Autopilot.

Speed seems to make no difference. The truck slows regardless. FYI I’m within 5 mph of the speed limit.

Easy fix... Apply pressure to the accelerator.
lol the whole point of cruise control is not to use your foot. The original post has valid concern. I also noticed this and I think it's potential safety concern.
