Will Apple Music support lossless streaming?

Inb4 “you can’t tell a difference when driving on the freeway” but has anyone seen any info on whether the new AM implementation will offer lossless streaming (to the same alleged extent Tidal does)?

Even just 44.1khz CD-quality would be primo. Made a big difference in my Tesla using Tidal; Atmos aside it would be leaving something on the table if it peaks at a highish quality 320 kbps stream out of AM when the current Tidal implementation supposedly can do 24bit/192khz (anyone actually confirm this?)

Anyway, very much looking forward to the update—the current implementation of Tidal is ass to say the least.

Myeas cheers, but I mean the upcoming software update that’s adding Apple Music to the infotainment.

Oh--don't know. I use CarPlay on a separate display. iPhone recommends NOT using lossless for streaming over cellular, so I'll predict Rivian won't do lossless streaming.

How would you know what to look for? How can I tell? If I knew what I was looking for I could walk across the street and take a look at my neighbors R1T with 2024.27.xx... it has Apple Music..at least it did a week ago.

**edit** I sent him a text because it was top hot to walk across the steet. He said... drum roll.... he doesn't know and will ask on "slack" or something like that...

I'll admit, the City I work for still uses DOS...

Pretty sure the native Apple Music implementation into the infotainment hasn’t been rolled out yet and is part of the upcoming subscription-based Connect+ subscription suite?

I keep telling myself I can tell the difference between lossless audio and regular, but I’m 49 so I know it’s highly unlikely that after decades of rock concerts and then working with 80 dogs nearby I can hear much of anything??‍

The Apple Music app is supposed to bring Dolby Atmos to the R1s. If I’m not mistaken, those have to be lossless quality to be certified.
