I received the NACS charger three days ago and decided to test it at a Telsa site before I actually needed it. When I first plugged it in, it looked like it was going to start changing but after a few seconds I got an error that said Payment Issue. I checked and my card info was correct. I unplugged and tried again. Then I got a Vehicle Connection error. After the 3rd failed time unplugging and plugging it back in, I called Rivian support. They had me delete and reenter my card but I don't think that was the issue as it didn't resolve the issue. After 10 minutes on the phone they said they wanted me to do a hard reset. (Holding the left most button on the steering wheel and the hazard button down) Once that was complete, I tried again and the changing finally worked.
The Rivian rep alluded to this being a know issue. And before the reset was completed, she said that if this didn't work, because it was a third party system, I would have to get with Tesla. Which I was not happy about. But I'm glad the hard reset worked.
Changing got up to 215 kWw but came down to 190 -170 kWw after a minute or so. I started at 51% SOC. The charging cost also surprised me. I only charged for a few minutes but .47 per kWh verses .30 kWh was more than I expected from what I had paid at Charge Point in the past. But this would be a lot faster. I don't have a Tesla subscription. I also received an email from Rivian about the changing session with all the details which was nice. Charge Point doesn't do that.
I hope this helps.
