I seem to have slightly greater vampire drain after installing the latest update and have seen a couple of posts from others who are seeing the same thing. I wounder if this is real or simply apparent, and if the latter, how widespread it may be.

I did not really track VD pre-update, but it seemed to be in the 1% to 2% range, averaging closer to 1% over 24 hours. Post-update, the floor now seems to be 2% per day. I've only recently started to log things however, and will post the information when I get more than a few days worth of data points.

Following!

I'm off today and will be installing the Noco dual bank charger and inlet port I ordered Sat. I'm so tired of Rivian constantly messing with the software without regards to addressing VD or as we see in the latest update actually increasing VD for Gen 1 owners. Love my R1T, hate VD

I’m seeing an increase as well. I posted this in another thread. I noticed the sleep/wake pattern has changed significantly after the update.

I thought it may be of my imagination, so now I do believe I’ve seen a change. A vampire drain I noticed versus not noticing any at all.

I updated my R1S and immediately left for a 9 day trip with it plugged into my home charger. Noticed in 9 days the SOC dropped enough to trigger a charge up to 70% every 36hrs or so. It was much more often than prior to update so something is going on. I’m confident it will get sorted out. Building your own tech stack has its pros and cons. Overall the pros FAR outweigh the cons and I love my truck!

I think we all (or the vast majority of us anyway), love our trucks. Rivian can and should fix the VD issue however, which will make a great vehicle greater. Then they can start work on fixing the annoying proximity triggering . . .

I have noticed an increase, may be just I am watching more, but will try to track. I charged to 85% 2 nights ago and before I got in the truck it was already down to 84%. Last night I charged to 70% and may not drive today, so I will keep an eye out.

Prior to applying the update, I went on a 12 day trip and the SOC dropped 9% over the time frame which I thought was quite good....will be interesting to see what impact this update has (doesn't sound good based on what I've been reading in this thread...)

Someone at Rivian screwed the pooch on the last update o_O

Many people are reporting similar large increases in VD after the latest update. I imagine it's fleet wide in Gen 1 vehicles and the only reason we aren't seeing more complaints is that the large majority of owners don't track, notice VD at all.

I found something this weekend, that could be related. I have NEVER set up a departure schedule for preconditioning the cabin. On Saturday I went out to my garage (no key or phone with me) and the truck was running, that seemed very odd, and I had seen it a couple of other times since the most recent update. On Sunday I opened the phone app to check my charging status and stumbled on the fact that there was a departure schedule enabled in the app for Tues, Sat, and Sun at 2:09pm. I never set that up, it had a random name, random days and random time. It also had use wall power selected off. There were two other departure schedules set to other days and times, but they were disabled. I have no clue how three schedules randomly got set up in the app.

Definitely seeing more drain after the recent update. I had horrible drain early on (3-5%/day) then it gradually got better - 1% or so - and now it's back to 2-3% every day
