Maybe, but it is hard to believe that none of the influencers have these issues, while large number of R1T GEN1 users have.

Reminds me of defective Lektron NACS adapter reviews, all super positive, and only Brandon Flash published the video about the not working switch. I am not sure if Tom updated his (at least I did not see the update). I would expect the same influencers to at least release a short video saying that look, the last updates caused many issues to many users, here is what to do if this happens. But no, total silence...

My main problem with defective updates is when something like this happens (and it can happen to any company), Rivian should monitor the cars. If they see people starting to do many soft/hard resets - a red flag should be raised. Nobody will start doing 2-3 soft resets per day for fun.

Many of us need to constantly soft-reset either to get Navigation working or Apple Play or drive cameras, etc. When they see such things, they need to act. Meanwhile, the feeling is - business as usual, all good, and no communication from Rivian. If you have a problem - open a ticket...

The issues with Auto suspension height a high volume setting both make me wonder if driver settings somehow got corrupt. Has anyone with these problems tried adjusting things as they want them to be, including suspension and volume, then saving their settings? No guarantees, but it is easy enough to try if you’re having these issues.
Who knows, maybe. Maybe similar to garage door openers (many still reporting this). I did not have the garage issue... yet. But again, software is software, it will have bugs. The question is - does Rivian have a good framework to catch issues and report on them internally? I guess drive settings are a kind of JSON file, with all parameters, that should have a checksum and be verified. If corrupted, the last well-known profile should be loaded.

It is an update, we all suffer from unprofessional QA and bad testing .... I need multiple soft resets per day.

Funny enough to see all YouTube influencers to be silent ....
It's mess....Apple music still doesn't resume when get in truck. Seems to need forever to gets it crap together each morning before I can actually get music to start playing.

My garage doors lose names for some reason at home....so when backing out I have no idea which I am triggering, bit when I get home they are named again....till I pull in garage...and they disappear again.

Most social media influencers won't say much bad or thry don't get invited to the events they make money covering. And the few that do it for fun still want to get invited to everything so they won't say much negative either.

Nope, maybe that's the differentiating issue here. I haven't even signed up for the 3 month trial.

I could speculate all day on what the problem could be, and why I think it's likely part of the reason we don't have any of the video streaming options yet.

Are these issues that are being discussed the result of downloading 2024.31.01? We have not yet been offered the update. I am now beginning to wonder if Rivian has become aware of these issues and has suspended putting the update out to those who have not been offered it yet.

If we do get offered the update, I think that I will hold off downloading it until there is some sort of resolution.

Yes, mostly. Some people had issues with previous as well, mostly with garage doors and Apple Play.

I got the update about a week ago. I usually hold off on updating for a few days to monitor what others are experiencing. I’m continuing to wait - not interested in potentially dealing with the issues being reported.

With this update both our Rivians have lost highway assist on long sections of i55 near St. Louis, and other roads where it used to be offered since we picked up our 1st one last spring - super annoying as it’s on our daily commute.
Try a hard reset that worked to get highway assist on i280 for me again.

I am using Apple Music and I haven’t seen any of the issues reported by others. Yet. The Apple Music experience is sub-par, especially compared to other phone-centric methods I’ve used in other cars.

I’d be thrilled if Rivian bundled USB audio with Connect+ so I could get good audio quality from the device which does a much better job as my primary audio delivery mechanism: my phone. I find it so frustrating that there is no clean way to supply audio to the amp outside of Bluetooth. I do not see how this is an improvement, especially because I spend so much time in areas without cellular coverage. Connect+ in its current form provides no additional connections without a cell signal. This is really a silly choice for an adventure vehicle, in my opinion. Add the USB audio and then I will view it as a true +.

I just looked on Electrifi, still showing some installs in the last few days and 22 staged for download so I do not think the deployment was paused.
