Maybe, but it is hard to believe that none of the influencers have these issues, while large number of R1T GEN1 users have.
Reminds me of defective Lektron NACS adapter reviews, all super positive, and only Brandon Flash published the video about the not working switch. I am not sure if Tom updated his (at least I did not see the update). I would expect the same influencers to at least release a short video saying that look, the last updates caused many issues to many users, here is what to do if this happens. But no, total silence...
My main problem with defective updates is when something like this happens (and it can happen to any company), Rivian should monitor the cars. If they see people starting to do many soft/hard resets - a red flag should be raised. Nobody will start doing 2-3 soft resets per day for fun.
Many of us need to constantly soft-reset either to get Navigation working or Apple Play or drive cameras, etc. When they see such things, they need to act. Meanwhile, the feeling is - business as usual, all good, and no communication from Rivian. If you have a problem - open a ticket...
