Highway assist disengaging when hands moved on wheel.

Normally on highway assist mapped interstates worked flawlessly. Now it disengages with any hand movement. Soft reset nothing. Ideas?

I have the same issue. I need to keep my hand in the 8 o’clock part of the wheel or it immediately cancels. I have a service coming up in October to check this out.

I thinik I recall a thread here quite a while ago (over a year ago?) who had a similar issue. If I recall correctly, Rivian replaced the steering wheel.

Yeah when the update with Apple Music came out, suddenly my driver+ became useless. I’d turn it on and it would after a few seconds start warming me it was going to disengage. Occasionally it also wouldn’t even start because it said I wasn’t holding the wheel (which I was).

Following 2024.31.01 it got a little better, on my last drive I had some longer uninterrupted stretches of highway assist. But it definitely still cuts out more frequently than before, and once or twice did the “not holding the wheel” non-start.

Hoping this next update (that I have waiting, but don’t want to install in the middle of a road trip) fully fixes it.
