Auto Lock Works Inconsistently

Wondering if anyone else has experienced inconsistent auto-locking of their Rivian? I've had my R1T for two years and the phone has worked pretty flawlessly to lock and unlock the truck. Of course sometimes I have to move the phone close to the door to unlock it, but auto locking when I walked away from the truck always worked perfectly up until a few months ago. At that time, I noticed that the truck started to not auto lock every time when I walked away. Then it started happening a little more frequently and eventually auto lock/unlock with the phone didn't work at all. I had to use the phone app to manually lock/unlock. I disconnected and then re-paired my phone and everything starting working again for a couple of days, but now the truck is only auto locking about eight out of ten times. It's really frustrating. Everything is up to date with the truck and my phone and all settings are the same as they always have been.

Curious if this has happened to anyone else and what the solution was?

Same, mine use to be flawless for 2 years. Now I’ve noticed the same locking issue happen to me off and on. I started seeing random glitches a couple updates ago. I enjoy the new features, but not at the cost of stability.

Same as me. It was perfect for two years. Then two updates ago started behaving less consistently.....waiting longer sometimes to lock....alot longer. Seems eventually would lock, but one time I gave up and pressed the lock button on my phone.

Same... But worse!
After 35 r1s sometimes doesn't recognize my phone in vehicle and won't start, requiring keycard. Using pixel 7.

Same here. If I happen to carry the FOB it works fine. Annoying to have keep pairing the phone. Technology is wonderful.....when it works.

Glad to see it's not just me. Hopefully Rivian is aware and working on a fix. To not have the vehicle automatically lock when a person is expecting it is dangerous. I have a mobile service appoint for next Friday to look into this closer, but I don't know how much good that will do since it's intermittent.

We just got our R1S last week, and the proximity locking has not worked very well the entire time that we have had it. Glad to see that we are not the only one with this problem.

And I don't understand why it would even behave this way....seems if it doesn't get a signal that a phone are key are nearby....why doesn't a timer initiate that worst case scenario triggers it to lock after a user definable setting amount of time....unless someone is sitting in a seat.

And it also now sometimes locks itself when it's in my garage, even though I have proximity locking off at home. This only happens intermittently, though. Strange.

Just curious, are the people that are having locking issues using the don’t lock at home option? I am not using that and my vehicles is auto locking all the time, no issues.

I do use the don't lock at home option and my auto lock is inconsistent. So could be a link between the two.

I also use the don't lock at home option, so maybe there is a link to this issue of not always locking when out and about.
