IMO, the Silverado EV just became the most compelling EV truck on the market. Rivian is going to have problems if GM can really ramp up production.

First time truck owners would probably find the size challenging. It definitely has a lot going for it as far as utility and range, so lower pricing could steal some sales from Rivian. I personally don't like the way they look so I wouldn't consider it either way. Plus I don't want/ need a vehicle that big.
To be fair I feel the same about the Lightning or any full size truck. I'm a single person and I want to be able to park in my garage. Just need space for bikes, camping gear and a dog or 2.First time truck owners would probably find the size challenging.
I'm not so sure that's really an issue when the two top selling vehicles in the USA are all full sized trucks.First time truck owners would probably find the size challenging.
Where's the correlation between first time truck buyers and those figures?I'm not so sure that's really an issue when the two top selling vehicles in the USA are all full sized trucks.
I'm confused are you saying the Rivian has a better or worse interior? The new Ascend interiors are really high quality—much higher quality than a legacy American vehicle. The Rivian material choices and finishes don't compare to trucks from the big 3, yet these trucks are priced the same. I paid the same for my Lightning as I did for my R1T, and I couldn't justify paying that much for a vehicle with so much plastic inside. The Silverado EV looks to have just as much plastic as the Lightning.
I read it as saying the Ford and GM have higher plastic content for similar premium.I'm confused are you saying the Rivian has a better or worse interior? The new Ascend interiors are really high quality—much higher quality than a legacy American vehicle.
