Huh. Wonder how one becomes a rivian tester.

You are an employee and you enroll your personally owned R1 as a guinea pig vehicle. That basically gets you the OTA updates about 4 to 6 weeks early, with no guarentee that new features that show up on your vehicle will stay once the official update comes out. Also, I'm told you actually have to constantly give feedback to the software team, or else they will drop you from the program.

I kind of want to scream every time I get a text and can’t respond while driving in my R1T, while I can in my other vehicles. If no CarPlay they need an alternative! ?

Thanks for this. For a fleeting moment I thought maybe they need a part time Rivian tester/full time Firefighter in Maine to tell them all the stuff they’re doing wrong or the cool stuff i want to see. I didnt see that specific posting, but Ill keep checking back.

PLEASE rivian just fix rear accessory mode for the love of bike racks

Curious...what issues are you running into? Before I installed the tailgate pad I used my 1UP on my T. Enabled rear accessory mode but didn't see any behavior that wasn't disclosed in the manual.

Interesting. That is for sure more useful than the existing small momentary one, which I almost never look at.

Imagine how useful an odometer and clock might be <sigh>
