Hi guys,
I recently took delivery of my Rivian R1S Gen2 Dual standard.
While the vehicle drives great, I am having issues when it comes to battery range. Specifically, I am noticing it loses 8% of battery in 24 hours when parked even with gear guard off, outlets off.
Reading to the threads on phantom battery drain, this does not seem right.

Any suggestions on what I am missing here.
Appreciate your help.

Cheers,
Pk

I assume you have verified that no door is left ajar preventing it from sleeping.

First thing I would try is a reboot of the vehicle, do the full restart not the infotainment. Instructions are in the manual.

Thank you for your response.
Yes, the doors are closed. I have been tracking the phantom drain for last 3 days now and it about 22%.
I have done a full reset few times but no improvement.
Coming from a Tesla, this is difficult to comprehend.

That is a ridiculous amount of drain. Are there any seat belts connected? I have heard an attached seat belt may keep the vehicle awake, all the while consuming power. If all else fails, reach out to Rivian. In my experience, they are very responsive and helpful.

Definitely not what I'm experiencing. I have a dual standard and according to the app, it goes to sleep almost immediately after I park it or get home. I'm not noticing any percentage drop overnight

This is not normal. Contact customer service and open a ticket. My Gen 2 std only loses 1-2% in a week, maybe less but I opened the doors and messed with the audio system for a while.

Can you check from the app if it is sleeping at all? Also, try turning off all proximity unlock (fob and phones) and check if that helps. I'd open a ticket. I had similarly large VD (6% over 24 hours) on my Gen1 and they said the body control module was waking up frequently and also suspected a faulty frunk latch. Both have been apparently replaced and I'm now monitoring VD very closely. I haven't seen similar issues with Gen2 so far, touch wood.

Definitely not normal. Do you have an https://www.electrafi.com/ ? if so, check how does your truck sleep/wake.

This is my graph from last night, It slept w/o waking until I went to drive it a few moments ago:
Rivian R1T R1S R1S Gen2 Dual standard - 8% phantom drain in 24 hours. Any suggestions? 1731673629752-s0

My next question would be: Do you have your Truck Parked Nearby where your cell phone rests all night? If so, try disabling Bluetooth to prevent the car from detecting your Phone as a Key.

IF after this you still see more than 3-4%, you must schedule an appointment with Rivian. It might be a faulty module, or a 12v Battery drain... something along those lines.

The seats are disconnected. I disconnected the hard drive used for drive cam as well. I will turnoff proximity lock and track the battery.

Have raised a ticket with Rivian about this. Will keep you posted.
Gonna try the electrafi.com and see.

Thanks guys !

I had significant drain when I received my Gen 1 R1T. It turned out to be a faulty occupancy sensor in the drivers seat. The truck thought someone was always in the vehicle. It would not sleep. Rivian replaced it and that fixed it.
