I had to laugh reading this...I flashed my lights at a Rivian coming at me the other night and was disappointed that they didn't acknowledge my gesture - until I remembered I was in my Highlander instead of the Rivian! It's become such a habit to acknowledge other Rivians that I was really in autopilot!

Here in Columbia, SC, I regularly wave at the few Rivians I see and consistently get friendly waves and smiles back. Maybe from still being fairly new (or a southern thing?). To the OP and her family (and others!) if you make this way I promise to wave :>)

I used to do the wink but nobody and never have seen one initiates or responded to it then I move on to the wave and I get about 50-50.
