Feel free to read my posts. I asked for and paid for the comprehensive inspection, I was given the lesser multi point. I had no idea that they switched the product until I got my paperwork after the fact. If I were given a choice, I would have skipped it. That is the whole point of this thread.
You didn't pay for it. You paid for basic. You may or may not have asked for it. I guess you are a little thick. Ignored.

LOL. Except for all the threads where I'm critical of Rivian. I don't like it when someone accuses people of criminal actions because they are upset about their poor communication skills. I don't think that's fair or right. That dislike transcends Rivian. I must be in the minority because I understand what I'm paying for and get it in writing before performing any service.

I also don't like when people don't do their due diligence and then expect everyone else to wipe their asses for them. You'd have a much easier time in life if you stopped blaming others and started holding yourself accountable for your fault in this situation and do better next time.

Rivian doesn't need to earn anything from you, and it would be a waste of their time to try. Everyone else is always at fault in your life. There's no point in trying to please someone like that.
I am sorry that I did not look up the legal definition of "bait and switch" and sent you off on your tangent. I will amend to "I paid Rivian for one service, and they did a different service", does that appease you? Can you get off that technicality now? I tried to get it in writing, we added the service on the phone after the initial set up. It was Christmas eve, the professionals (Rivian rep on the phone) said that they would handle it. Did you want me to argue with her? She said it was handled, and they don't send out updated paperwork and I said OK. She is the authority, was I to argue how she should do her job?

I did do my due diligence. I found what Rivian said was needed at 22,500 miles, I screen shot the website and I called and added the service. I didn't ask you or anyone to wipe my ass, I was simply posting my frustration with their tactics.

I blame Rivian because they made the mistake. I didn't have fault in this situation. The only thing could have done different was tell the rep on the phone that she was wrong and demanded her to send me more paperwork (even though she said "that is not how it works with Rivian), I didn't do that because I trusted that what she was telling me was accurate since she works for the company and is trained. And yes, any company that wants loyalty and repeat service strives to earn their customers.

Apparently, you are indeed a CrazyOne

Me - I want a comprehensive inspection

Rivian - That is $200

Me - Great, here is my money

Rivian - Here is your inspection report

Me - This says "multi-point" and not "comprehensive"

Rivian - Call us Monday

What good does making this thread do before calling them and giving them a chance to clarify? You just want to throw a tantrum and that's a waste of everyone's time.

They have already wasted my time. The damage is done, the frustration has occurred. They had my car 10 days and we spent 8 hours on the road back and forth to get a car that didn't get what we thought we had paid for. On Monday I may get my $200 back, but still not the time wasted or the inspection I wanted. Or I may not get my money back and need to waste another 4 hours of driving time and however long they need the car to do the rest of the inspection. Or they iwll tell me to pound sand. Either way, their clarification isn't going to make it right.

This thread is to warn others that this shit still goes on, Rivian service still has their head up their ass and to be more diligent than I was. They are not trained right on the phones or on the chat. You need to educate yourself and be smarter than them and get everything in writing. That was my mistake.

Ya’ll, we are missing the point. OP wanted to come here for comfort and sympathy. Just nod, agree, and tell them they are right. They didn't get what they expected, it’s Rivians fault and thats the end of it. Nothing we say to help is going to be heard. Go on OP… get it out of your system… we are listening.

You do realize that this is an extremely minor complaint in the grand scheme of things, right? I spent more than 200 on dinner last night. If you really needed the 200 that badly you should be driving a cheaper car to start with.

I don't drive this car, my wife does. I drive a Cayanne Turbo GT. It is not about the $200. It is about the principle of ordering one thing and getting another without any communication or disclosure. It is about Rivian making an error every damn time I visit the service center. It is about warning others that it will happen to them if they are not smarter than Rivian.

Rivian R1T R1S Another Shady Service Center Visit 1000001938

Can we all take a deep breath and try this again? New year, new emotions, calmate.

@Agswin can you post the work order currently pending in your Requests? That should give us something to start with. If you called and asked for something to be added, it'll either be updated with it or there will be a separate one for it.

They should be combined under appointments:
Rivian R1T R1S Another Shady Service Center Visit 1000001942

And separate under requests:

Wow didn’t expect it to blow up like this.

OP - post the service invoice when you get a chance as that will explain it much more clearly.

Rivian literally said call on Monday to get it sorted out. What will ranting over the weekend get you? Yes I agree they should have done the comprehensive inspection. But if they didn’t then work it with Rivian. No one here on the forum has special access to Rivian to solve the problem for you. As for whether they put it up on the lift I’m sure they did so for the tire rotation. Is any inspection worth even $200? Not the free one and prob not the one where they look at all four corners and go yep no leaks. It’s up to you how much value you find in a comprehensive inspection in which nothing is replaced.

I don't know what your issue is? This is a public discussion forum. I am venting my frustration at the shitty service Rivian provided. If it helps you then that is great, if it doesn't then move on.

Ranting is one of the purposes of an online forum. It usually turns into a meaningful discussion. Not sure why Donald went sideways with it. I didn't post for a solution; I posted my experience in hopes that others won't get their time wasted like I did. And no, no inspection is worth $200. But I usually follow the manufactures guidelines, and the 22,500 seemed like it was one I should follow since everything after and before (except the brake fluid flush) is a 7500 basic one
