My close contact in a high place tells me that this release is also including native Netflix, Sling, Hulu, and Paramount apps. Specifically excluded is HBO/Max, ESPN and YouTube TV.
They should work on optimization instead of adding new apps. My 2017 Ford Explorer had a better response time on the touch screen.
I’ve never seen response time problems. From time to time the screen’s sensitivity to touch commands seems to be low. But that could also be my simply not hitting a button correctly.
They are useless because we can’t use them yet.
This. Latency in the UI has gotten kind of ridiculous. Change tabs/apps, slow AF. Hit the climate button and it takes 2-3s before the climate panel pops up. Used to be much more snappy. Touch sensitivity in the button bar on the bottom isn't fantastic either...maybe the touch targets are too small?
I get that this is an answer mostly for the LOLs but this 100% would be what I would do if I was in charge of any of these streaming services. 90% of the demographic would not specifically go out to their car in the evenings to watch some shows but they would watch a little at lunch or when supercharging and then get hooked on a show or some content and then boom, home subscription. This is one of the easiest marketing moves these companies could do.
But, but, but.... They reworked the Unreal Engine Renderer so it's more flashy! /s
