Apple Music Playlist Issue

I use Tune My Music to move and sync my playlist from Spotify to Apple Music. Most of the playlists are showing up fine in my Rivian in Apple Music, but I have a few playlists that show up, and there are no songs in the playlist. When I go to the phone app or desktop app the playlist is there with the songs. I am at a loss as to why the songs are not shown in the Rivian Apple Music app. Any ideas or solutions????

I haven’t experienced your specific issue, so apologies in advance if none of this is helpful…

Whenever I add or edit an Apple Music playlist, the changes never show up right away in my LTE-connected gen 1 R1S (no WiFi in my apartment garage). The easiest way I found to force a sync is to select a playlist I haven’t edited, wait a few seconds and then go back to the playlist screen. Most of the time I can then select a new or recently-edited playlist and all is well. If that doesn’t work, I do an infotainment reset (hold the far left and far right buttons on the steering wheel for about 15 seconds).

If neither of those things fix your issue, I would try logging out and back into Apple Music in the Rivian. If you’re still seeing empty playlists, you might try editing one of them on an Apple device (rearrange the song order or add a song) and then see if the changes show up in the Rivian.

Have you tried a reboot?

The Apple Music software in the Rivian has more bugs than a Tijuana whorehouse. You're also limited to 100 displayed/selectable songs per playlist, though the rest will be there, hidden. Mine constantly just dies and then restarts from the main screen after a few seconds. It almost never resumes playing when I get back to the car (a bug they said was fixed...not).

It's not the same issue, but like you, my playlists are a mess on both Apple Music and Bluetooth. I can't skip to listed songs by tagging them on the Rivian screen (with a Bluetooth connection), and my Apple Music playlists might list 50 songs, but the Rivian system only wants to play three or four. VERY FRUSTRATING.

I just got the EV Carplay and plan on installing it over the weekend. Enough is enough.

Apple Music is very buggy. It works perfectly on my wife’s profile. But on mine it doesn’t play or plays the radio channels only. I’ve tried soft reset, hard reset, signed out and back in. It still does not play. Please see the video attached. I’m hoping 24.51 will fix all our Apple Music problems once and for all. It’s crazy how well Spotify and Sirius work well. And such a big company like Apple can’t get this right!

Thanks for the help. I re-arranged the playlist and also logged out and back in and now the playlists that were not populated are now showing songs and working. Thanks!!

LOL, it's Rivian's software and their bugs, not Apple. Rivian could also solve it all by integrating CarPlay.

This is the exact same problem we are having with both of our Apple Music accounts. Soft, hard resets any many logouts haven't worked. I've read deleting profiles might work but that's my last resort.

We can tell Apple Music sounds a little better on the Rivian than Spotify and it's certainly full featured using Iphone/Watch and Earbuds. But we will not renew after our free trial if I can't get it 100% working in our R1S.
