Dropped off the S for troubleshooting on the suspension system. Some observations
1. The assembly line is nowhere as active as it was when I last visited about a year ago. Dropped off the car same time on a Friday as I did last time.
2. They still have in-factory pick-up and I assume the factory tour. It seemed a bit more formal and better organized then when I did my picked up almost 2 years ago.
3. Across the street there was a lot of activity with addition to the main plant.
4. Seems they had few (or maybe no Rivian loaners). They gave me a Zipcar (Bolt EV) as a loaner and shared their Rivian loaners where shipped out to busier service centers. outside of Normal. I guess they were admitting their service center isn't getting the same amount of traffic as other SCs.
As our S was the family car and we can not "squeeze in" like we used to, wife joked if all of us need to go somewhere we'll need to take two cars now until we get the S back.
