The map shows 2 in Colorado. Denver, which is already being built, and the second looks like C. Springs.
I saw that too and imagine it will probably be either Centennial (Park Meadows Mall) or somewhere in Castle Rock. Didn’t look far enough south to be the Springs

You sure? The RAN map at 10:30 is revised. it'll take me some time to provide a comparison without downloading anything though. ?

@DuckTruck you should check it out, you may find some interesting changes to us specifically. ?

Correct but I just assume that is their final layout OR just a example of where RAN stations could be not really taking anything for final form factor until I see it updated on their website (which I haven't checked in a while).

You could definitely be right. Castle Rock makes sense as a mid-point between the Springs and Douglas Co peeps.

Completely nuts, indeed! Politicians suck.

Page 139 of the S1:

Only eight states prohibit us, as a manufacturer, from directly or indirectly owning or operating a service center providing warranty service. Those states are Alabama, Louisiana, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and West Virginia.
I live in one of those states. Wonder what the actual impact of this is on our chances of delivery when Rivian does start getting LE reservations out. I already believe due to the slow roll out we wouldn't get our LE RT1 (reserved Nov 2018) for at least another year anyway.

The frustrations and disappointments you feel with Rivian for their lack of communications and reasonable updates, never ending delays, ambiguous information, just seem trivial every time you hear RJ speak. Kinda like a warm embrace from your mom when you are sick, and hearing her say ' you are OK, kiddo' as she kisses your forehead.

Damn you RJ !

Super encouraging video to watch. Rivian has gobs of brilliant people led by a prophetic founder/CEO. The business model is way more fleshed-out ahead of IPO than Tesla a dozen years ago. The market and big-money will chase it hard not only for the hardware (vehicles/charging) revenue stream but will see it equally enticing as a "cloud business" focused on big-data and its centralized information services.

Do wish they would cutback on the repetitive buzz-terms like "Ecosystem, scalable, unbundled etc."
Agreed, but buzzwords and technobabble get investors salivating and the money flowing. ???

I share others’ sentiments that watching this roadshow video made me feel more solid about the company in general, my pre-order, and purchasing stock (IPO and on open market). I do have concerns around overall range. My Model Y with stated range of 326 has significantly diminished range driving to Mt. Hood from PDX in winter. There is a supercharger in Sandy, but losing 30-40% estimated range in the R1S would make the drive a nailbiter without the max pack.

Did anyone catch the brief clip of residential solar panels?

I don’t think the prospectus mentions solar business at all, and that may be more of a subtle suggestion that Rivian is “more than a car company” and should be valued that way.

Actually, this is what scares me about the IPO. While RJ is not as "off the rails" as Elon, it's still a cult of personality. It's essentially the same as Steve Jobs era Apple.

I'm taking my investment in this IPO seriously and I actually want to hear more about their long-term revenue-generating concept which this presentation was a bit flat on. A lot of it hinged on "we have lots of sensors and some how *magically* we're going to see trends in this sensor data that will tell us what our next market should be." That gives me a bit of pause.

I _do_ like the FleetOS stuff. I think it can be a big game-changer, especially since it can be used on existing fleets.

I found this to be helpful. It's not exceedingly complex, but it saved me a couple hours of napkin math myself.
