Every update seems to have a change or two that's undocumented, I've found a couple already!

1: Driver Display Visuals
They said they just added small SUVs, which is true. But they also appear to have made a few other changes.

The biggest one is the display of lane lines. I presume that they used to be handled by the mobile eye system. With only a vague resemblance to what's actually happening in real life. Now the lines appear to be very much less stable BUT more accurate. Quite possible that it's now the Rivian system driving the lane lines (I'll have to redo my tape testing).

Along with the more accurate depiction of lane lines, it appears to be a MUCH another visual transition when you're changing lanes (even when you're not on the highway using highway assist). It used to be that when you were changing lanes, about halfway through the entire display would reset and there would be an abrupt jump as it shifted to focus on the new Lane. Now it's smoothly transitions between lanes (mostly).

Another change that I noticed is that it is suddenly showing far more vehicles. It will display a much greater quantity of vehicles that are farther away. This may be tied to the new lane display system, since in previous versions the number of cars that were displayed was very heavily tied to the vehicle's perception of lane lines (only showing vehicles in directly adjacent lanes). These rules still seem to be in place, but less strict. (The rule of not showing parked vehicles when you are traveling over 30 mph still seems to be in place)

A funny demo of the less stable lane lines:

2: The Dual Motor "Bump"
The bump from the last update appears to be gone again

What undocumented changed have you noticed?

I haven't driven it with the update a ton yet, but I was disappointed on a freeway where I get highway assist that it didn't allow me to take hands off the wheel. Still pinged me to put my hands back. My understanding from notes is that hands off isn't necessarily available everywhere that highway assist is yet. Hopefully as they gather data they will expand hands off driving to more freeways.

Do your lane changes work?

Post update I had to do a full vehicle reset - initially I was missing auto lane changes and enhanced highway assist. It wasn't even the menus. After a restart they showed up in the night menu and I got hands free and lane changes came back

I noticed the same with the gen2 lines in driver display. I initially found that gen2 driver visualization to be far inferior to gen1. When I got gen1 loaner couple months ago. But things have been slowly improving for the gen2 each update. Plus I think the camera calibration they did at SC helped a lot with lanes visualization too.
But with this latest update it for sure seems way different as you mentioned

also the infotainment system is so much more snapper for me. And soft resets in < 1 min. Where as it used to take >3 mins.

Funny you mentioned that, I did a full reset after I got back home because I thought that may help, I didn't try auto lane change, I was too frustrated trying to to get hands off to work, disabling and re enabling highway assist and was only on the freeway for 4 miles.
I will try it out again now that I did the reset last night.

There are spots where it doesn't work, so if you were only driving for 4 miles, that might have been the case. I drove for 800 yesterday, and it worked most of that time.

That's good to hear! Did you enjoy the drive without needing hands on? I imagine it a weird experience.

On the update note, my side mirrors do not tilt in reverse, so don't know if there is a setting for it, but couldn't find it on quick browse.

The dual motor thump.

When will this get fixed?

I have heard people are reporting that a mobile service center visit could fix it. Calibration issue?

Off by default. Directions on how to enable in the release notes.

Is this the (forward) jerking motion from a stop and/or when accelerating? If it is, I notice it since last software update and still not fixed this very recent software upgrade.

This is when you're at highway speeds, and you accelerate enough to trigger the rear motor to engage. It was a lot more of a rough thud feel. Now it's back to being more smooth again
