Nope. This was all me. I am a dooof.
I unplugged it all and then plugged back in and now it says charging. Ugh. Will check on it tomorrow morn as I am not going anywhere so I will see if I lose anything. Sorry all!
Sounds like you already fixed it but make sure you are plugged in through a window and not leaving a door open or it won't sleep properly

Thanks, I like the simplicity of this solution. What do you do if camping - while there is no sun aka night.

We camped over the weekend and lose 20mi per day, a mix of VD and endless in and out of the vehicle as a giant bear box.

I am totally up to use a giant USB battery; I have a 42000mAh I would love to plugin to a tender, but imagine the output 18watts? isn't enough.

Having seen many cars ripped apart by a bear going for food. I would never use my beautiful Rivian R1t as a bear box. Real bear boxes work because bears learn they can't get into them but cars are very accessible to a bear.

Great idea ... I've been thinking how to keep a spare lifepo battery in the frunk that is a tender for the stock battery. Setting those voltage for the dc to DC charger to work is what I could do.

The reason I want this in the frunk is I can use manual tolls stored in the trailer hitch to open the frunk if the 12v dies and I'm stranded. Had that happen to my Tesla on Saturday and it sucked! So the spare lifepo could jump the Rivian if I had a 12v failure, especially if I was camping or somewhere remote.

I'm not as worried about charging with solar ..... If there was a way to have the relay setup to charge the lifepo when the Rivian is awake that could work great.
I replaced the bolts that hold the bulkhead panel in the bed (behind the rear seats) with the linked knob bolts keep a few essentials in the tonneau stash box behind that panel. I also had small Lifepo in there and ran a wire into the gear tunnel that plugged into the cigarette lighter socket. This works in principle, but when parked this socket only works if you activated from one of the settings and then there there's 72hr limit after which the socket turns off. You'd have to activate the setting every time the truck turns off which is why I abandoned the idea, at least for now. I'll probably tinker with this some more and might try something in the frunk. Is there a tool kit/set that fits or locks neatly into the trailer hitch?

Do you keep the hitch cover on? I assume that's why you don't have a hitch lock on it.

Yeah that would defeat the purpose if you have hitch lock key in the vehicle. I don't need a hitch lock. Maybe they have some that are combo locks.

In that use case I'd probably instead use the license plate holder.

I've installed the same setup as the OP. Pretty nice solar panel and integrated battery charger. I park outside connected to L2 Charger at home, so I just put the panel on the dash. It's been charging away for the past few days. During that time I haven't had any "top off" charging occur, which absolutely did happen in the past.

I have a question for those with dual battery versions. It seems likely that supplying 12v via the OBD2 port will only maintain one of the batteries. Since the truck will no longer wake up and run a periodic 12v charge cycle the second battery will eventually lose enough charge that the truck will not boot up fully. This might leave you in the situation where the only choice is to access and charge the second battery via the frunk. Is my understanding correct.
