Yes because most people dont know how to train AI on 100% product accuracy, hence all the childish content you see out there. AI is easy until you actually want something you can stand behind.

Do people still photoshop now that AI exists? Usually ChatGPT makes perfect Rivians.
Yes, people who actually want to support artists. But if you're a tiny independent YouTube channel, yeah, using AI makes sense.

My first question is -- will this void my warranty if something goes south?

Of course you’re going to need a wall charger to connect to the DC pins for V2H - that’s a given for DC BiDi, and since our R1 platform is not capable of outputting AC over the J1772, absolutely necessary.
How was my comment taken as a question on whether a wall charger was needed? It was 100% about RJ saying it's possible with gen 1 and they're working on it.

They have said many times that the G1 vehicles have the capability so I would say yes, if it comes to market G1 should get it as well.
I wish I shared your optimism. Tank turn *cough* hands free adas *cough, cough*

Yes, their controller and a battery

at a bare minimum- This Kit
You mean a "dark start" type battery like Ford uses to make the inverter work? Not sure why a storage battery would be needed. That's what the Rivian is for.

Well, as a step one then read their implementation and installation guides.

I really do wonder what is rivians implementation of this because this will be huge for us people who want to go off grid.
Especially at a time when one could easily use AI to generate a decent image within minutes. The product might be decent but bad marketing gives off very different vibes.

Wasn't it RJ who said it's possible but need a newly designed wall charger, which they'd already been working on?
Rivian V2H support but this is in the works per an interview with RJ (YT link) . Looks like it may be 20+ kW (240v 80a) too! FYI, he said Gen 2 & Gen 1.

Now I need to plan for how I can run a 120 Amp line to where I can install the future 24 kW charger. I was planning on putting in a 100 Amp line, but that isn't enough for 24 kW. Will need 120 Amps.

At some point the circuit breaker box capacity will be exceeded. I might need an electrician this time. Lol.
