600mi range and 2000hp aside, what is the one little thing that you wish you could change?

Mine is probably the fact that I cannot adjust the fan speed when the rear climate display is up. Sometimes it defaults to rear climate because I have to go into the interface to turn in on for the kids at the start of the ride, but later I tap the climate to turn the fan up/down and I can't do that until I tap back to the front. Why? Meanwhile, there's this entirely useless "schedule climate" button that I can't even press while driving, same with Pet mode (can only be tapped when parked). Seems like an inefficient use of screen real estate.

CARPLAY!!!
CarPlay would solve every navigation, music, Bluetooth issue with the car. Absurd that it isn’t available….

also I wish the designers had kept parents in mind for the rear rows. The ac defaults to being off in the rear and there’s no fan speed.
The 3rd row is cumbersome- my 8 year old can easily get into the 3rd row by himself but I need to get out and reset the 2nd row to get that seat back into position. He jumps out in our morning school carpool line and then the seat flops around until I can pull over and get out of the car to reset the 2nd row. And that seat defaults back into a silly completely upright position. I wish I could push it back into place from the drivers seat…

I’m glad I was not the first.. (AND IMO it’s not minor) CarPlay. It is truly my only beef. ONE thing that would bring SO much more functionality to my driving experience. But they already know that.🙄

Retired!
Rear window portal for the R1T.
USB audio. The music apps suck. Let me play audio uncompressed over USB.
These!

Especially the USB audio function.. it really can't be that hard to do. I'm tired of Apple Music stopping when I loose cell service (yes it happens often where I am) and not starting back up. And using Bluetooth is just a pain in the a$$.

2. Drive mode in Dual performance models - all wheel drive option (illuded to in interview by kyle conner and Wassam) very helpful when climging in the mountains - othewise the rear constantly engages and disengages with noticable "clumk" cant be good for the connection
I must be the only Dual Motor owner/driver that has never noticed the supposed "clunking" when the rear motor kicks in. Like, never.

Music: I haven't had many issues with playing music/podcasts from my phone. Occasional connection issues though - rare, but more common than I'd like.

Charging: Just faster, please

Range: 400mi would be great

Gear tunnel doors: when unlocked, they still require a but of prying to open. The passenger side is slightly better, but it would be nice it they popped open maybe a 1/2 inch when unlocked?

An odometer display that's not on my phone. Yes, there are the trip odds, but I'd like a total miles display in the truck.

Air compressor: that little flap doesn't stay down! And I wish the display/user interface was better.

I would like the ability to retract my side mirrors on command.
You can on the same screen where you turn on car wash mode. I do that when running through the car wash. Be nice if that was part of the default behavior of car wash mode though!

500 miles on a charge and driver + on all highways. My wife's 2015 Tesla came with that and it is a game changer. No reason Rivian can't add that to the driver + with an OTA update.

Some of us would like the power tonneau we were promised.
On this note: I was promised a powered tonneau because it wasn’t ready when I picked up my vehicle. A month or two after the promised date, I contacted them and after a couple of pokes, got an appointment for installation, and now I have mine. Might just require a couple of pokes to your nearest service center.
Thanks Andy...This is all new to me!
I found it by accident, myself. I supposed one of these days I need to RTFM (Read The "Fine" Manual")... one day.

More control from the app. Open tonneau cover, change charging amperage, turn on outlets
Since my home is off-grid, I need to turn the charge amperage all the way down when I connect at home. If I don’t, the PV system will oscillate and drain my home batteries. It would be awesome to have charging presets based on GPS location!
