Just wondering how widespread it is. I finally got the DL (non C+) but may punt if it's a pretty common issue and it's 97 deg. out!

Before the update the A/C was so loud in our Gen2 - especially during timed cabin preconditioning - with loud here being could hear from half a block away (and neighbors reaching out to ask if something was wrong) - to a sound level that seems perfectly reasonable now. Unfortunately this probably has been achieved by dialing everything back - I've noticed that things take a lot longer to get to the target temp - but luckily have only been dealing with low 90's here so they eventually do.

No. I do not have problems with my A/C and have never had problems with my A/C. Gen 1 R1T.

The update has been out for three weeks and the vast majority of users have already installed it - I would think if "everyone" was having problems then we'd have heard about it by now.

There are quite a few complaints in various other threads. So just trying to gauge it. I just had a temp. sensor go out on mine a month ago. It sucked and it took them over a week to fix it. I don't want to go through anemic A/C again in August.

I don't really notice a difference in my Gen 1 R1T AC, but the seat cooler performance is much worse. Can hardly tell if it is on. Oh, plus the fact that it is now too stupid to know not to turn on the seat heater when it is 100F out - something that used to work automatically.

Yes, there have been A/C issues reported over the years, mainly in R1S, and many have underlying reasons like yours - sensor, refrigerant level, disconnected hose, settings (e.g. closed vents), glitches needing a reset to fix, etc. But you're implying bad software introduced in last month's update as the cause, and I don't see evidence of that. And bad software should affect pretty much all owners.

We are going through a heat wave in SoCal right now so hard to tell whether the AC is struggling more or not. I did have to turn the temp down to 65 and set auto to "high" fan speed to avoid cooking in the vehicle after about 15 min on the road yesterday, but it was also 95 outside.

Seems like it.
