Wassym does frequent the /r/Rivian sub, but I agree that if we would all make service tickets it'll probably get fixed faster. I think many people asking if they have a similar problem are really trying to confirm if they're the only one or if it's global, which is a fair thing to do.
He does, but he doesn't see everything. He is in charge of software at Rivian as well as Rivian-VW Group joint venture. "Busy" is probably an understatement.

It is your conclusion that I'm "arguing" about. You're making the classic error in reasoning where correlation is mistaken for causation.

Software updates are released every 4 weeks, which means that EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM that anyone has ever experienced with a Rivian occurs within a month of a software update. And if you list all the dates halfway between these software updates, then you find the same thing - every single problem shows up within a month of those random dates. So can we conclude that ALL Rivian problems are caused by software updates?

Let's try it another way. The majority of A/C problems are reported in the Summer. Go ahead - search the forums to confirm that, I'll wait. Does that mean Summer causes A/C problems?

A large majority of Rivian owners are Connect+ subscribers, who receive the update in the first week. If a problem were caused by faulty software, then a majority of the people on this forum would be commenting within that first week. That is just not happening.
Uh, OK professor.
You just keep ignoring all of the responses in THIS thread as well as other threads here and on Reddit confirming this. It's not just a few.
Yeah, I bet all of the heating problem threads are in the winter too... weird.
Let's just agree to disagree and drop it here please.

I'm happy to report that I did wind up installing the software in my Gen 1 R1T and during our 100 deg. weather today everything seems to be working well so far. Again, this seems to be mostly a Gen 2 problem.

Just curious.....what were the symptoms of your bad sensor? My Tri AC won't shut off once thermostat temp is reached. For example I have pre conditioning set every morning for 71 degrees at 6:45am. Every morning at 6:45 the app tells me the truck us 63 degrees. Asked SC to check it, and they said nothing was wrong. They drove it 15 minutes in 95 degree heat......It won't get that cool in 15 mins.

It just wasn't blowing very cold air. Cool, but not cold. Fresh was colder than recirc. I thought for sure my coolant wasn't charged. they said they checked and it was ok.
Noticed it on a road trip home kids in the back started complaining about being hot. Then we were all hot.

Someone suggested opening the third row vents to improve A/C performance. Seems to help in my vehicle. Those vents do not remain open so I must remember to open them when turning up the A/C.
