My wife looked at the EX90 but bought the XC90 Recharge and loves it. I had to put fuel stabilizer in the tank because she only used a half tank in 9 months.

Got some huge updates for MY26

-800v architecture
-new 106kWh pack which is smaller but lighter resulting in the same range as before
-new motors up to 680hp on performance trim (up from 510hp)
-Electrochromatic Pano roof
-Nappa leather
-New more powerful Compute Core (2025s will get retrofitted)

Its finally becoming the car it should have been when it was revealed in 2022.

This makes it a lot more compelling. If they figure out the bugs, this could actually be a solid option at the entry level trim for someone who just wants a fast charging, comfortable, luxury EV without absurd power. Do we know if it will come with native NACS?

I think it comes with NACS.

The Count was an early rez holder. Previewed it over a year ago. Not impressed. Canceled rez.

My wife also was looking at the EX90, but ultimately ended up trading her Model X for an XC90 and absolutely loves it. It’s insanely reliable and incredible quality.

I thought once you go EV you can't go back...

Just finished returning our 2025 EX90. Lease buy back. The car drove SO nicely, but was just such a hot mess full of really spooky bugs. Rattles and wind noise to boot.

Can't recommend. I hope they are able to fix the bugs, cause it really drove so well.

We had 2 Model Xs. Quickly realized that it’s pretty beneficial to have at least one ICE. I traded my X for the R1S and she switched to XC90.

Finally someone that actually had one! Was it just a ton of software issues? Aren't they getting much better?

Lots of nasty software bugs. The most annoying and prevalent was Bluetooth audio didn't work. That means when someone called us we couldn't hear them and had to quickly switch to speaker. But we would get a ton of sensor errors, sos system errors, air conditioning problems, memory seats never worked at all, the map would freeze and the AC get all whacked out, suspension error messages, external light error messages, rear twilights didn't always work right, and more. Some of them were really scary, like the airbags error messages that popped up frequently. Ghost seat occupied errors. All kinds of shit.

It truly is mind boggling how a car can be released to the general public with so many bugs.

Wait... Didn't Out-of-spec Kyle put out a long dissertation, with his paid cohorts, and named the EX90 the best of the bunch?! Proof that having a lot to say isn't the same as being knowledgeable.

This makes me wonder if the Polestar cousins are also plagued with software problems. Seems to be one area Rivian still has an edge over others (even the Chinese)—flaws and all.

I was really considering the Polestar 3 for a long time. It seemed to have its fair share of software issues, but nowhere near as bad and apparently has improved a lot in the last few updates.

I also frequent the Lucid group and the bugs the newly released Gravity is documented to have is very concerning. I just don't understand how these new cars can be tested for so long and then immediately upon release be a nightmare to most new owners. What a horrible experience.

I've been very lucky with my R1S. It works as intended 98% of the time. My wife's Mach-E also works just about as well. These other companies really need to figure it out. This only hurts them and the EV industry as a whole.

This will sure to irritate the resident Church of Tesla members... but Tesla set the precedent of making customers into beta testers. It's the same approach in the software/tech industry: Get to market first. Refine later. And before Tesla, Microsoft made the practice a standard.
